Beijing Duck, spicy fish dumplings, shrimp and so much more! That is a lot of food for one person, do you think they can eat this family sized feast? Today we are trying some of Houston's best Chinese food (Sichuan). The Trendy Dumpling is known or their Soup dumplings, steamed dumplings, noodles, & traditional Sichuan dishes! I went and was looking for the full experience y letting the staff pick the signature and best dishes for me to try! The dishes were fantastic and I was blown away by the taste and quality of ingredients. This is more "authentic Chinese food" than a lot of American Chinese food, and the flavors really are different and this place speaks for itself!

I think I like these laid back challenges more than the timed ones. We get to know how the food really tastes and see the experience. Of course the bonus is when we get Careless Whisper. Looked amazing!

I'm impressed with the presentation of the food, and mostly the reasonable cost for ALL that food. Seriously I don't think I've found a Chinese restaurant that the cost is that reasonable,especially with duck included.... You found a GOOD place to dine there in Houston..

the secret to that shrimp sauce is...get ready! lol mayo & honey....thats all. ive been making it at home for over 15 years heres my recipe 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup walnut halves 3 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 1/2 teaspoons honey 1 1/2 teaspoons condensed milk 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined 1/2 cup cornstarch to thicken or leave out salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Hey Joel that food looked absolutely amazing I wish we had some place like that around here $120 for the food like you bought would feed our family for days!! I helped family friend that owned a Chinese restaurant prepare quite a few of those ducks.. they are Peking ducks as a breed of duck. and they are prepared in a style of preparation originating in Beijing so both names are correct!!..they use an air compressor to stretch the skin away from the body and then cure it in sugar and spices then roast it!!

The first time I had honey walnut shrimp I nearly cried. It was the best thing ever. Seriously. Such a simple and odd paring and easy to make. I have not had anything so memorable in my 70 years of travelling.
