thanks for the comparison, ive been waiting for weeks for someone to do a real test. its hard to find information on something like the mop swing. the only thing im left wondering is if theres any difference in the obstacle avoidance at all, since the l20 can apparently detect 55 objects and the x30 can detect 70

You're welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting. When it comes to obstacle avoidance, they both did well but not great. Specifically, pens and pencils are items they both have issues with. The X30 did take a beeline across the room mid-cleaning and ran over a phone cord once, as you can see in my full review video, but I haven't seen it go near a cord since then, so maybe it was a fluke. I didn't know there was a difference in the number of objects it can detect (thank you for that update), but from my understanding and testing, just because it can identify more objects doesn't mean it has better obstacle avoidance. When it does detect an obstacle, it can mark it in the app as a specific item. You can see this in the full review at this timestamp. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Ztt2q6-ZyJjWYYE.htmlsi=emAfCPApLekmGC9G&t=581 So, it can identify specific items as shoes, cords, pet feces, but when it can't identify something, it just marks it as an obstacle. Yeh… have the same question is that new way of extending arm and hot water cleaning worth 400$ extra… 2 mm to 1.5 cm seems like a huge difference, so 30 probably will reach way better in the corners ? And is the hot water really makes big difference ?

Thank you. I actually don't think it worth $400 more. I love the smaller design of the base station and the abilty to use any soap but I rather have $400 in my pocket. If you get one, I hope you will use my links and let me know if you have any more questions.

@@ModernDayReviews my questions are more for the manufacturer. Like why can’t I set an intense mopping route while in vacuum and mop mode lol. They don’t seem to be changing much between the x30 and x40 models at least according to the website.
