just a quick video on the new ultimate Ears epicboom and what it looks like with the speaker grill removed, and how it sounds, I eq mine so that it does not distort and it actually sounds really good

Yeah hyperboom is way way better but a lot bigger than this, this one is a lot more portable

If its a sealed design it comes down to how good the woofer matches the enclosure volume. As far as i can see, that woofer is very big for the enclosure.

It does seem like it might be too big for the enclosure but it sounds pretty good to me when I eq it just right

Depends I think, I’m pretty sure they can manipulate the t/s parameters to get the sound they want even with a smaller enclosure although I could be wrong

Whats your evaluation/grade vs the HK Onyx 7/8 thats in the back?

So with the new update I think the ue epicboom sounds really really nice, it's for sure not as bass heavy as the onyx that I have but sound quality they both are on par, I think the onyx has better sound with that much deeper bass but the epicboom is super portable and Waterproof plus shock proof way way longer battery time and is 360 degree sound, so honestly if your going to leave it plugged in, in your room I'd probably go with the harmon but if your going to take it with you, and throw it in your backpack, use it outside or by the pool or anything I would take the epicboom easily, even inside rn I find myself using my epicboom more than anything else, it's just easy to take with you from room to room and the battery last a long time

I'll have to get one and test them againts each other, I'd say bass is probably similar but I think this probably goes louder, more like extreme 3 loudness

I knew the design was very similar miliar with the Google Nest speaker but damn, now this looks like a "copy my answers but make it look like you did it"

I've never looked at the Google nest speakers so I'm not sure what that one looks like, but I do know this and the sonos move are pretty similar

Yeah, it sounds like the base really struggles. UE speakers aren’t really known to have bass. I feel UE speakers are over priced.

Most of there speakers for sure struggle with bass, I love my hyperboom and it's got a ton of bass but can't reach lower than other speakers size like jbl boombox 3 and what not

how long does the battery last on full volume?

17 hours at like 50 percent, about 7 or 8 hours on full blast

You have to peel the top rubber piece off and there are like 6 screws to unscrew and then the cover slides up and off

Thanks for the sub I appreciate it, and right now I think they are 300$, max I've seen them is 350$ flossy Carter thought they were going to be 500$ but they ended up staying at 350$

Ya it needs a better woofer for sure, it's not terrible but it doesn't offer the bass it should for that ridiculous price

@@Jagistreviews No means a bad speaker, Just understanding the undeveloped EQ and DSP firmware. It’s a shame to see distortion. They need too fix that, Or, Take prices right down.

@@Jagistreviews Also the Wonderboom 2 and 3 have distortion, The 3 is improved, But its near the higher BASS frequencies such as (90hz/120hz) They haven’t fixed that, But they are cheap as.
