I moved to Kaneohe from the mainland 3 months ago. I really appreciate how you try local places and include detailed descriptions of what you’re trying. It can be intimidating ordering food I don’t know how to pronounce or don’t know what it is, and these videos encourage me to get out there and try new things. Mahalo!

Amanda and Felix…I don’t know what you did with the camera settings, but this video footage was so much more vibrant and clear. The colors of the slushies, the palm trees, the green grass, and Amanda’s pink shirt burst off the screen. Your new camera showed off its capabilities in your second video. Great job…very beautiful. The close up shots of your food, the poke, was almost jumping through the screen. I could almost taste it. I’m looking forward to your upcoming videos! 🤙🏽🌴🌺

I went to K- Bay Bro’s and said I want everyhing Amanda & Felix had!! 😁. They didn’t have the salmon and opihi Poke. Everything was soooo ono 🤙🏼🤙🏼. So we been going every week so far. I mean, we live right up the road yet never knew this was a poke kinda of place. And I take my dog to the groomers there. 😳🙄. So Mahalo for this video. Watched it 3 times already… LOL.

Even though I dont eat seafood I still love to watch you guys and "The Von" is always a bonus guest. Love the picnic vibe should maybe go on more food tours around the island and show the beautiful places and spots where you can have that picnic. ..I have seen you guys do this on a number of occasions but you can never have anough of this gorgeous place, food and you guys

Musubi and Onigiri are my favorite things to eat when I’m there. The spread is awesome, and the vegan donuts look so so yummy. Got to remember not to watch your videos on an empty stomach. I love your videos. Can you say binge? All week watching your vlogs. I am been visiting Hawaii for 30 years. I am in the Northern California, between SF and the wine country. I had to cancel my trip in April to Maui, because of health issues. Planning to go soon, but I think I am going to Oahu instead. You made me home sick for the island. Take care!

Hi Guys. I noticed when you guys eat at certain parks the flies are nuts. I just learned something new, if you get an aerosol shoot bottle, Walmart Keeaumoku sells a medium size one in the travel section, fill it with 80% Pinesol & 20% water shoot the area you folks will be eating on. Maybe shoot the table cloth & wipe with paper towel see how that goes.

We love your videos. Just a suggestion for making them more informative for us tourists. Can you do some videos that include places of interest near the shops ? As a frequent tourist, I go to many of the beaches, hiking areas, etc. on Oahu. It would be super helpful if you could tell me which restaurants to visit that are near popular sites. In this way, we can map out and plan a day out that includes eating and sightseeing. Thanks for all the videos.

FYI....Opihi (Oh-pee-hee)=local Hawaiian delicacy commonly eaten as pupu/appetizers/hors d'oeuvres, found on rocky shorelines, oftentimes hazardous to harvest/gather aka limpets. Loven your foodie vlogs. P.S....Good 2C Da Von aka Yvonne again....Keep those videos coming!

Another great vid. That is some very creative musubi flavors. I'm going to try and marinate the spam in the char siu sauce. That Li'iLi'i sounds really interesting. Hi Amanda and Felix!! I just stumbled upon your channel and already love it. I have always wanted to go back to Hawaii, but haven’t made it yet. So for the food videos that I’ve watched look amazing! I watched your video on saimen (sorry I don’t remember the name of the restaurant. But it was the one where you guys were sweating like crazy because of no AC) Amanda was talking about her food poisoning event. Amanda thought it was because she didn’t use hand sanitizer. You don’t get food poisoning because you didn’t use hand sanitizer. It is because the food is not held at proper food safety temperatures. The danger zone for food to be held at its between 41°F to 135°F. There will be bacteria growth between those two temperatures. And there will be bacteria growth, that may cause foodborne illnesses. I have, unfortunately had food poisoning quite a few times. The worst was from tamago sushi at a Buffet restaurant. Be careful when you dine out. I know you cannot check food Temperatures when you dine out, but if the food doesn’t feel really cold or isn’t piping hot when is served to you, then don’t eat it.

What's the correct (and non-noob) pronunciation of Musubi? I've been hearing the stress on the second syllable while others put the stress at the end. Great vid, guys!

Help!!! I follow you guys diligently, as I’m moving from WA State 10/1. What do you suggest for a first meal over there? I don’t want something generic like pizza or a burger for my 1st food…. You guys post SOOO many tasty looking things. I’ll be in Waikele.

Definitely hit up rainbows/zippys for plate lunch or Taniokas for hawaiian/ local food👍 after you're settled in you can try the more of the local places we've featured 🤙

You can also add Thelma's Filipino, Leeward drive-in(esp. fried noodles!), Seafood City...all in Waipahu...It ALL depends on how Adventurous you palate is!-lol...And cannot forget to checkout shops at Kamakana Ali'i in Kapolei

@@wendyswanson1669....In the Waipahu/Waikele area are numerous supermarkets/grocery stores to explore. Waipio has Costco/Foodland in same area, Don Quijote/Seafood City on opposite ends of Waipahu shopping center & think Amanda & Felix have couple videos on Waikele food trucks
