Wax ring should first be mounted onto the bottom of the toilet, not placed on the flange.

How do you screw a screw into a concrete floor? Is it a certain type of screw? Do you need to drill a hole first?

I use just an average wall anchor and tap it in after I drill it out. They sell those at the hardware store as kits with screws in the kit. I hate to tapcons.

The flange is flat Why not just turn it over at use the correct orientation

Hi Stan, Thanks for watching. If you look closely on the corner of the flange you will see that all four corners bend down and out where I put the screw's through.

@@fixitjohn okay On.mine the flange is flat I was actually heading out to install it in a 100 yrsr old house when I commented. Ended up that it didn't matter Everything was so far out of square spec and whack I had to improvise. Ended up using one Phillips tapcon, one sheet metal screw and two deck screws of different sizes. But it looks good from my house

White washer should have went under metal washer. Protects the china and gets a good grab. 2nd metal washer wasn't really needed.

They make plastic shims. Caulk isn't a very good shim.
