Muragan, If max pain shows 197 and price going towards 207 how short covering happens and what is the value of max pain theory and it will fail correct? If that happens short covering crossing 210.... then maxpain showing in chart will fail? I am lost and appreciate your advise

My humble request, if you provide old date also in dropdown in "NSE Max Pain Analysis" and "Option Chain Filter". it will help us to backtest. we will select previous date from drop down and see price behavior.

Sir, what happens if the option buyers strike is in IN the Money on expiry, does he needs to square it off the position manually to realize the gains, or M2M gains will automatically get credited on the account?

MTM get realised every End of the day. But in case of stock options, it gets physically settled. Hence you need to be careful.

I applied this theory by making straddle at max pain level..it worked superbb sep - tatamotors-130 straddle And aug -hdfc1840 straddle

Total premium paid at 10.40 timeline is 440 and not 240. When we square off 200 will be recovered. Hence 240 is our loss and not the actual premium paid. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Somebody please help me with this activity below; An investor is speculating on Company ZZ shares. The shares are currently trading at $140 per share. The investor believes that Company ZZ’s shares will experience a bearish run, and she wants to use call options to take advantage of this. She finds that a call option on Company ZZ’s shares, with an exercise price of $120, is selling at a premium of $400.
