Hi Alyssa, thank you for your lovely videos! I recently found your channel, and have enjoyed seeing the beauty of Rome and Italy. You seem to be such a lovely person, with great attitude and values. Also, your voice is so calming and joyful, perhaps you can do a video of you singing! (since you said in one of your videos you love singing). I'm also an expat and hearing your experiences of trying to fit in very relatable. Thanks again and all the best to you & your beautiful mum :)

Great to see you back! Very useful video, explaining the different neighborhoods, with great advice, kudos! This August we'll be visiting Verona which is not as hot as Rome, being closer to the Alps:) We recently re-watched your video about it:) Rome is definitely on our list for a next trip, after Florence in the last summer and Verona this one. Italia è bellissima, non è vero?

Great video and gorgeous photos! My favourite neighbourhood to live and stay in Testaccio/Ostiense. For a shorter trip Monti or centro storico if you can find somewhere affordable 😊

Glad to see you included Prati in the list. A suggestion for your return: visit Nomentano, especially around piazza Bologna. Bologna is like a spoked wheel that radiates out in every direction, and is a real "neighborhood" neighborhood, if you know what I mean. It's still close enough to the center, but super well connected by Metro, Trams, and the Tiburtina station. Enjoy your family time. My husband and I were just in Rome and my ancestral town of Arce in southern Lazio. It was so damned hot in July!! 🥵

very close to the main university, and to Tiburtina station (worth seeing), yep Nomentano district, affluent and elegant, good choice, also via Tiburtina might be worth a look, it is pretty shabby but it is a wide boulevard flanked by tall builindgs and it has a nice European capital feel to me

Alyssa I'm not Roman, I live in Sardinia, I really enjoyed this video, like all the ones you've made previously. I think other interesting neighborhoods are Parioli (wealthy area), San Lorenzo (alternative neighborhood, young people), Eur (neighborhood built by Mussolini) and Aventino (central bourgeois area).

@@AlyssaMaeFriend A little more suggestion suitable for the summer period? Ostia. I don't know if many people abroad know that Rome has its beach, certainly not one of the best in Italy, but it's not bad.

13:13 I would give the same piece of advice in regards of Pigneto, which is in Roma est, the shadiest part of the town overall, if you are a girl, never go there alone after 8 p.m.
