after watching this several times now and seeing or hearing people say that the bear running looks weird I think I know why it looks like it's running faster than it is moving

Personally I'm impressed, but the only concern I have is that elephant just charges at the player through dense foliage, I just hope the game isn't unrealisticly aggressive animal's, because it would turn it into a horror game rather than hunting. Imagine your hunting a rare once in a lifetime deer, and out of nowhere a bear charges and ruins your whole hunt.

I'm torn on what to think of this trailer. On the one hand I'm seeing a couple of things that raise major red flags for me. And on the other hand I can't imagine they would ship the game with the (potential) red flags I'm seeing after so much hype around the game in the hunting game community. My favorite part of the trailer is the hippo bit at 1:59. The reason is because the player is in the water which suggests that there is at least some level of sophistication when it comes to traversable area. The rest of the trailer gives me major phone game vibes. The main things I worry about is invisible walls and the way animal attacks are portrayed, it looks to me like the bear and elephant attacks are triggered/spawned as opposed to the animals already being there and organically ending up charging the player. The hippo charging at 1:59 looks great though.

I predicted way of the hunter would use a black woman so nobody could criticise killing protected species but they just didn't include any, glad to see this tactic being employed effectively now.
