I never played the jak games during the PS2 days (just a series of coincidences that lead me into never buying them) and recently I got to play them.... and while the games are great gameplay wise (jumping physics are legit great) the music is just so subpar and crappy. As a player, going from Ape Escape, Klonoa and Sonic to "this" kind of music is almost torture for the ears... All you have are these never-ending bass-heavy looping subdued music, typical of so many other western cartoons. There's not a single high-quality catchy, energized, feel-good, sad or epic melody... Just nothing... If the music production had been handled by a japanese artist or studio, it would have been much better, and such a great game (gameplay wise) wouldn't have been tainted by such subpar sounds...
