i'm using the same duckbill but on 3m Tape VHB. the 3m tape always comes off slowly specially on sides. It'll be my 4th time incase😩

Ours started lifting on the edges above the triangle light part, so I put some clear gorilla glue to help keep it in place and no issues again.

What did you do to seal the holes? Wouldnt water get inside?

Throughout the recent Cali rain storms, car sat outside and water never got in. The tape helps to seal it up. You can also add some foam at the edge of the inside of the duckbill at the top of the trunk. But the screws have held it down and no water has gone inside due to the tape preventing it from going under the spoiler

The duckbill fit without modifying it whenever you left just the top stock taillights ?

Yeah when I left the 2 top pieces of the stock taillights the duckbill had fit perfectly with no modifications. That’s how I had it on for a while but I wanted the whole taillights haha

@@clippinnate ⁠I don’t have pictures haha but since the aftermarket ones are tinted, I just put some smoked vinyl over those 2 small pieces and it looked good to me haha, but the sequential function and animation of the taillights wouldn’t go all the way up as intended with the OEM pieces. That was why I said F it and cut the duckbill up to make those aftermarket ones work with it haha

Any issues with the sides not being taped? I have the same tails and a duckbill on hand. Want to attempt this. Great job btw!

It’s fine. Make sure you use either 2 rolls of 30lbs gorilla heavy duty double sided tape or 1 roll of 60lbs gorilla The stock red ones it comes with is so bad. The wing will fly off during hot days When you cut though I recommend to use painters tape and align it. Use that for straight cuts. I did it without painters tape (guide lines) and I cut way to much and have gaps on the outside 😢 I’m about to make a video on it if you wanna watch it later
