Ok I hear y’all on the amount of concealer I apply… but since my sponge soaks up product I have to over apply to get it to be the right amount once it’s blended out 😂 I feel like I can’t quit the sponge with concealer blending but… lmk if you have any tips & I’ll listen lol

I'll give you my routine as it might help. FYI: I have very deeply set and dark under eyes. 1) Use corrector (cinema secret 5 in one corrector is a great investment) . Only use a tiny bit in the inner corner to cover the darkness (beware this product has a lot of coverage). This step will tremendously reduce the amount of concealer needed after 2) Always let the concealer "sit" for a bit before blending (this will help you get more coverage out if it and use less). Usually I do my brows in the meantime. 3. blend it with the new real technique concealer sponge which is really amazing (yes the small yellow one). Using the blender DRY gives better results. Then finish the rest of make up. By that time the concealer will have creased a bit so blend it again where it creased before setting with powder. I have plenty of expensive powders but my favorite under the eyes is the essence 16h powder foundation-shade 3 is a good brightening shade for light medium skin tone). Hope this help ❤❤

I tap my concealer in with my finger, let it sit for several seconds and then go in with my dry sponge. Less is more.

Powder puff…I know it sounds weird but it was a GAME CHANGER! When I started doing it! It blends out my concealers so smooth and such a beautiful look! There were concealers I didn’t even like that I went back and tried with a powder puff after I started using it, and I actually really liked them! It’s crazy! I just take the puff and kind of wrap the tip around my finger and then pat to blend it out. Gives great coverage with a small amount (I don’t need to apply extra because I lose coverage) and it blends out super smooth!

As a 48 year old woman I love watching your foundations and concealers videos because if I hear you say "it creased on me or it didn't wear well" - I know I need to pass too for different reasons, lol! I know concealers can't be crease free at my age but I need to minimize :) Thank you for your hard work on these!

Alex Anele has dark circles (one of the few creators that does, and she really knows her stuff and how to prep for concealers and how to use light ones bc she said she's done with heavy makeup under her eyes. I recommend her videos on concealers.

You did a great job with so many concealers. I honestly think the reason you may have the same issue with so many of these new concealers is that you are applying so much! I think if you feel you have a dark under eyes issue, you would be better off applying a corrector first, then the concealer. Bobbi Brown has a beautiful corrector. I am 72 years old, and NARS, Christian Dior, Kosas Lancôme, all work fine. I sometimes have issues with the choices of color, but with the corrector I use half of what you use and I use a brush first to tap in, then maybe the Elf sponge for concealers…. So soft and has a pointed tip. Thanks for all of your effort to turn out such a great video.🥰

I haven’t met a concealer yet that doesn’t crease. Ever. The best technique I’ve found is using it very sparingly. I blend it in with a brush or my finger. Then I set it very lightly with powder. I’m almost 55 and using that technique with all concealers gives me the best results. 💛

Try the Surratt Concealer!! I was mind blown when I tried it; I really don’t think it creases and I don’t need to set it. The Haus Labs had extremely minimal creasing for me. Third best is the TF stick concealer.

The 2 main issues were creasing and coverage. Honestly, the huge amount of concealer being applied will make almost any concealer crease and using a sponge will reduce the coverage the product can actually give.

I totally agree. She seem to applied these concealers heavily. There’s no doubt her under eyes are going to crease. Unfortunately I didn’t find this video helpful🤷🏻‍♀️.

I usually love her videos and I thought the amount of concealer she was applying was a prank at first. Alex Anele had a great light coverage concealer video and she has actual dark spots (she uses them for good as she says lol) but no one should be applying this much concealer all over their eyelid, just everywhere. That’s now where concealer is supposed to go. Put Urban Decay Primer on your lids, it’s an evergreen product, but pls not heavy concealer, no way.

@@jewelsbarbie I didn't love it for under the eye area. However, it's really pigmented so for other concealer needs it's really good! Also, I don't have dark under eye circles but I do have under eye bags, so it might be better for dark circles, I hope that helps you make a decision. I also noticed it's on sale right now for $16 so maybe worth a try?

I'm 38 and actually love the Natasha Denona concealer. It barely creases at all if I use only 2 dots but if I apply more than that it settles into my lines. I also like it best when I powder under my eyes. If you hadn't given it away then I'd recommend trying it again and use much less product. I've heard great reviews on the Tower 28 concealer so that's be one I want to try. At this point I can't make myself use any other concealer than the ND.

I absolutely love the Natasha Denona concealer, it wears beautifully and I think it’s so much better than Nars, Make up Forever, Dior, Kaja and pretty much any concealer ive ever tried. Doesnt crease on me, but the key is to not apply so much. I literally apply the smallest amount and it covers and works amazingly, so maybe try applying way less. Less is more with this one. Anyways, it’s a hg for me ❤️

Nars has been my holy grail for so long, almost 10 years when i started doing my makeup when i reached 20, I will always have 2 shades with me, one is for color correcting and one is for concealing regardless of how many concealers i own at the certain time..nothing had top it but my oh my i think Natasha Denona had just surpass it!

I have to say even though I’m 44, I don’t have too much creasing with concealers bc I don’t apply too much! I’m also a makeup artist and it feels like perhaps you are putting too much of the concealer on? I love the tower 28 one and considered getting the makeup forever HD one and heard the haus labs one was just okay but now I’m curious to see how I might like it over the MUFE one! Thanks for your reviews :)

Thank you SO MUCH for this video (and all of your other ones)! My skin and I have been on a crazy journey this year at 33, and I'm having to find ALL new products while also dealing with hormonal acne for the first time in my life. Concealer has by far been the most frustrating experience for me because of creasing and shade matching. All of this to say, THANK YOU for having fine lines and giving such amazing and informative reviews for all of us who also struggle with lines around our eyes. I still like my Pat McGrath concealer. Haus Labs’ reviews are so here and there, so nah. Just a small amount of concealer is needed - I think it’s very possible that if too much is put on, it will crease.

Abbey you definitely did the best concealer update. Try Dior it’s so nice. I bought Sisley recently although very expensive it’s really nice. I was thinking of trying the haus labs. Both the doggies are so darling. Your baby is growing up. Xo 💖💄👄

Love this video! Overall i agree with you, as I’ve tried most of these! The only one I didn’t agree with really was the glossier one! But I also don’t wear it with a full face so that may be why! I wear it on my super natural days where it’s just concealer, mascara, and brow gel! It might just play better that way! But anyways, I appreciate all the time and effort that goes into these videos!

Can anyone with dry skin confirm how amazing the Haus labs one seems to be?? Would love to know if it’s gonna wear the same on my dry under eyes ahah

I have super dry skin and live in a dry climate as well. I didn’t love it. I freaking LOVE Armani Luminous Silk concealer, and Hourglass Vanish Concealer (only use a tiny tiny bit). Actually, with any concealer, pleeeease keep in mind, less is more. Especially for us dry people 😅 I use maybe a dot under my inner corner, one dot under my eye, and one on the outer corner, blend out. I usually use some around my nose as well (for contouring). Hope you enjoy them as much as I do! I searched for YEEEEEARS for the right concealer for me.

I felt so betrayed by that Natasha Denona concealed. It immediately sank into fine lines and even when powdered (which I hate doing to my 57 yo eyes) continued to crease heavily. I kind of hate it.

Same! It also wore off in patches an hour after wear. I’d love to try it again in winter but it was way too emollient for me

And so many influencers seemingly LOVE it. Maybe it truly works for them, but I’m always wary of almost everyone pushing a product and “loving” it when it launches.

@@reneeburich9497 I usually am too but a few KZfaqrs that I truly trust love it. Totally puzzled by that one. Like you said, it could very well work for them. Everyone is different.

I totally agree with you on the tower28 and natasha denona. Tower28 is hydrating but makes my undereye look saggy and wrinkly but in a "I have wrinkles naturally" way. Its so weird how it looks like my undereyes but worst. It doesn't look makeup-y like ND Hyglam but it looks bad after hour 4. Natasha denona is so full coverage and smooth but it settles into micro line right below my lash line(pat mcgrath did the same) it reminds me of hourglass Vanish where it's super thin but it wears bad and looks like I have too much makeup on. It looks too done up for everyday and looks dry by the end of the day. JOAH eye serum concealer beats all these and all highend I've tried. My other favs are Nars Radiant Creamy and Mac Prolongwear(hate the pump) I always go back to these 3

The Natasha Denona one is what I most want to try as its one of my favourite brands. Also interested in the Haus Labs and Tower 28 ones might the coverage seems too less for me so would probs have to use a colour corrector

Natasha Denona concealer is my HG, definitely give it a try. The key is to not apply too much, I use the tiniest amount and it covers and never creases. Less is more with it. However, it is so gorgeous, covers so well and never creases on me, best concealer and ove tried them all

I thought you were enjoying the Dior, so surprised not to see it. I do like the ND and Lancôme. Might try Haus Labs.

Thanks for this massive showdown! I have two suggestions that would help me out (hope u don't mind). #1 I would find it helpful to know your current favorite go-to concealer (not on this list), #2 Put the name of each one at the top or bottom while you are discussing it. I watched while doing makeup and found it difficult to remember which one you were discussing. Thanks!!!
