There is a mistake in this video. Wrangler has 3 trims-sport, sahara and rubicon. Baiju is saying the difference between wrangler and rubicon always. In fact both r wrangler only. The black color is Sahara trim. Sport is the base trim.

They are at different Trims levels (otherwise called “variant” in India) Black one is not sure (may be “Sport S” trim) but the Red one is Rubicon. The Rubicon with all Advanced/Technology/Driver Assist Packages costs around $50K in USA (~38 Lakhs in INR). The fact that the business man paid 87 Lakhs for this shows massive government tariffs on these models.

Ok.. we had 2 jeeps. Both a 100% self maintained. A 2006 tj and a heavily modified 99 XJ. Jeeps these days also caters to mall crawling crowd and have added a lot of creature comforts. The idea behind the Rubicon is that, it should be able to traverse the Rubicon trail in California, unmodified. So it'd got larger tires, sway bar disconnects for articulation, front and rear lockers, better axcel. Money can get you a Jeep but not the life style and possibilities that it offers. For that you need to be someplace else. Maybe an Indian reservation with 30 million acres of land and few thousand people or the trails of Utah. It helps to have a cache of firearms to keep you company. The souls of Jeep here are in pain. They are not free like us. They have been sold into bandage here for the past like Karmic sins. Serious off roaders will add a snorkel, lift kit, roll cage etc.. and unlike claims, a lot my women own and drive Wranglers. "Silly boys, jeeps are for girls". My wife mostly used the Wrangler. To each his own. Now I drive a Honda Jazz and better half goes Uber.. LoL!!!
