The key to growing a successful and bountiful kitchen garden is making maintenance easy and enjoyable, and the best way to do that is to place the garden on the way to a destination to sit and enjoy all your hard work! This past month we’ve been creating the ultimate destination in our French country garden, a place to not only sit and enjoy the garden view but also a place to gather family and friends, make memories around the fire pit and generally enjoy what we imagined our new life in France to be all about, long summer nights outside! This outdoor lounge has been built to last, with repurposed stones from our property for the floor and a solid wooden pergola that should be dripping in grapes soon! Adding the gorgeous outdoor lighting was on our must have list from the start and it does not disappoint, we’re absolutely here for the wow factor and it is such a wow! We think we've created the perfect oasis to come after a long days work on the stone house renovation and I can see it being one of our favourite places in the world.
