Hi there! I live in an area were we get ALOT of snow and crazy high winds. I have been very impressed with how well this gazebo has held up to the wind and the snow. We did anchor ours to our concrete slab because of our high winds and we have had zero issues. I read many reviews before making this purchase and it seems like alot of other brands of issues with the roof leaking were the screws are, but this gazebo hasn't had any leaking issues. I feel like the gazebo is truly well made and nothing about it is is flimsy. We liked this brand so much we are purchasing another one for a family member. We anchored ours to the concert because we have crazy windstorms where we live. You definitely don't have to do so though, the gazebo is pretty heavy on its own, I believe it is 500ish pounds so it wont move too easily. You will love this gazebo! I recommend using an electric screw driver to save your wrist during assembly, and try to lay out all your parts in the shade as you are building the gazebo because they will get so hot that you can't hold it.
