My top tip is be proactive and do your own research (which is what I did). Look up the entrance requirements for your course and find out how you can achieve them. More info here:

would doing an EPQ make an application look stronger? Also, would a sharp improvement from GCSE grades to A-Level grades also strengthen an application?

Really helpful, I’d like to ask what should I do if the fields of interviewers are taking are different from what you are interested in? Like one interviewer is studying zoology, but I am more interested at physiology

Interviewers don't just focus on their areas of expertise. A zoology interviewer would definitely be able to ask physiology questions.

Hey, I'd say focus on understanding all the content (read your textbook, look up stuff you don't understand, ask your teachers) and then do past paper questions

how different are the engineering interviews college to college in Cambridge? If you can't say for Engineering, can you comment on the NatSci interviews on the same question please? Much appreciated

I think it's generally quite hard to predict how interviews will vary College by College. Unless something is mentioned on the college website about interviews for specific courses I don't think you can tell

You have to apply regularly through UCAS and you’d include why you want to do a course in your personal statement. You can also talk about in your interview.

Do all universities care a lot about gcses? For example if gcses are around 7s would that be bad for an application

Universities do generally take GCSEs into consideration but A-levels are much much more important. Is a 7 bad? That depends on so many things (e.g. what subject, and what are you applying for and where). In general, a 7 is not bad though most Oxbridge applicants would probably have mostly 8s and 9s.

It's possible, just improbable. My best advice would be to work smart (i.e. no passive revision, only active), learn all you need to know (by going through specification), and going through past papers and mark schemes.

@@the49k If you're applying for medicine it's good to have some relevant work experiences if possible (check out my videos with medics for more info). If you think you can get a good application sorted in time for 15th Oct then go for it but otherwise it's maybe not worth it. Also, it's often said that it's not recommended to take a gap year before applying for medicine.
