Mike Theiss of Ultimate Chase, Inc goes to Bermuda to document Hurricane Igor. This is a 11 minute compilation using several types of cameras documenting Igor's giant waves on the south shore of Bermuda at the Elbow Bay Beach Resort. Special Thanks for Jim Cantore and the folks at The Weather Channel as well as the very helpful staff at the Elbow Bay Beach Resort. Bermuda is an amazing island with some of the nicest beaches I've ever seen...

Absolutely AWESOME, Mike!!! I wish I had spent more time around Elbow Beach during the chase... it looks like it was a really photogenic spot! That guy talking about the shark oil barometer is really cool too... I really want to see that thing working during a storm.

It was nice to see the people having fun before the storm. Made it seem more real while watching. Then it started to really kick in around the 6 minute mark. Can't believe that lady was texting @7:00. Good thing you were able to retain what was filmed before your cam messed up.

It's always odd to see the pre-hurricane footage of lovely blue skies with a few cumulus clouds, and then, eventually, to see the return of nice weather after the disaster is over.

Mike that was great filming. Loved seeing the waves and glad there wasn’t severe damage left behind. Towards the end the next morning you were showing the wall of sand and to me I expected to see Fred Flintstone in his bulldozer at the quarry. 🤷‍♀️I don’t know why that flashback came watching your video. 😂 Thanks for your great video. 👏🏻👏🏻

I just went to Playlinda Beach in Florida yesterday to see the waves and I just woke up at 3am because I dreamt I was at a hotel on the beach and the waves were coming up the the door facing the beach, and then the big one came and I was inside afraid the glass was gonna brake or the building would collapse. I can't sleep. I'm scared someone hold me.

Lucky I want to be in another hurricane I was in hurricane Wilma and Katrina that's what you get for living in Florida for 6 years I was in others but I forgot there names I was in my hurricane when I was 2 months old

How is Bermuda so hot if it's up north. And how can it withhold coconut palms? Thay need a temperature that doesn't drop below 50 degrees for more than 3 hours

While you are correct that the Bermuda islands are at a high latitude relative to say, the Caribbean Islands, the warm ocean current that passes the Bermuda islands creates an oasis for warmer temperatures. In fact, according to this one website, temperatures rarely drop below 55 F or exceed 90 F and the lowest temperature recorded was 43.6 F[1.] If I remember correctly, these temperatures are similar to what you see in northern to central Florida and you see palm trees throughout all of Florida. 1.) www.bermuda.com/bermudas-climate-and-weather/

Furthest place north in the world that can sustain cocos...It's very rare to see below 55 degrees there... Miami has seen colder temperatures than Bermuda and they are flushed with cocos...
