The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 112-81, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Sunday thanks to strong showings from Emoni Bates & Luke Travers.
The Cavaliers got off to an impressive start, setting the tone of the contest by outscoring the Bucks 38-21 in the first quarter. The worst wasn’t over for Milwaukee, however, as Cleveland bolstered its lead even further following a 34-16 score in the second 10-minute period.
The Bucks showed signs of life in the third quarter and outscored the Cavs 27-20, but that wasn’t enough to mount a comeback. The Cavaliers closed things out with ease in the fourth and cruised to a 31-point victory.
All five starters scored in double digits for the Cavaliers. Emoni Bates led the way with 18 points, six rebounds and four assists. Craig Porter Jr. posted 15 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Pete Nance and Jaylon Tyson each had 14 points. Luke Travers had 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.
MarJon Beauchamp led the way for the Bucks with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Livingston was the only other starter who scored in double digits after posting 17 points and seven boards. Ryan Rollins added 10 points, five assists and four steals off the bench.

I like how Luke Travers is on the thumbnail but not being talked about honestly he needs a spot on this roster more than anybody on the bench and that would be George’s just imagine this next young core coming off the bench Traverse Bates Tyson Burns Cpj that’s a smooth starting five for the bench coming into the season hopefully Kenny Atkinson can do that

5:12 As a matter of fact, Sam Meril did not miss second half of the season, Garland missed second half of the season. Garland passing in the second half of the season in comparison to CPJ passing in second quarter of the season has had subpar quality and Garland passes has been more or less belate. Also JB time management of Merill was somewhat odd, he disrupted his shooting ritam with consecutive 5-10 games without any playtime or with couple of minutes in garbage time.

Funny ! These guys ( host panel ) absolutely have no basketball knowledge. I do like them, but difficult to listen to their nonsense. Sorry ! Please stick with football and baseball , you guys are awesome in those sports. I think this panel need to realize these young men have a great desire to become NBA players in developmental system. Please stop saying “it’s only summer league”, while reporting on summer league basketball . It downplays your comments and these future NBA players.
