I don't think random crits are that bad I just think it's really weird that only Hero has them what about Pokemon trainer or cloud. they're all from RPGs but only one of them gets crits. also I think they do need to get more balanced seriously one crit does 50% that's not okay maybe 30% -40% is good

The idea for Hero’s down b was initially created when Sakurai gambled in Las Vegas with Toriyama.

Yeah, Horii literally designed the entire DQ series around the idea of gambling. It's why you can only save in towns and you lose half your money when you die. And why your party's turn order is randomized, and why lots of the more powerful spells have a fail chance. And also why metal slimes exist, and why there's at least one literal casino in every single game in the series. That's why Hero's such a luck-based character, because Dragon Quest practically revolves around luck.

Long ago I had to face the fact that most of Smashbro is a gamble and bit of luck. I tend to stick with fighters that can show skill between players. But anything 'Random' completely runies competitive play imo.

If you wanna see a lot of damage, try this set up: have 2 players (in training) both as Hero’s. Have both activate bounce, then stand right next to each other. Have Player 1 do a Kaswoosh (fully charged up-B) while grounded. Finally, watch the damage rack up.

More balanced than Ryu and ken getting 80% off any hitconfirm on a grounded opponent and being able to kill off that confirm on stages with a low ceiling. Also can't that only work on other Heros or the item Reflector?

*Didn't You Know?* Hero was actually supposed to mimic DBZ characters not only in appearance, but also in physical capability. Thus, he is the only character that can use Final Explosion, the signature move of Majin Vegeta.

Are you forgetting that several characters in DBZ have used the exact same ability in the games and anime before and haven't died? Final Explosion is just a more lethal version of Super Explosive Wave which is what most characters in DBZ have access too. They explode in energy and they don't die. Angry Explosion for Majin Buu works the same way. Vegeta was the only character who used a self-explosive attack (Final Explosion) and killed himself with it. It wasn't until DBS where Final Explosion DIDN'T kill Vegeta but instead left him out of power, which is akin to Hero's Magic Burst.

@@Segvent only 3 people actually exploded themselves, tiens partner against Nappa which killed him, semi cell against well the whole planet, Majin Vegeta against fat buu, super explosive wave ain't a self-destruct move its a outburst of Ki, the difference is one uses the user as a bomb and the other pushes the ki out to create a explosion, games do not count cause well they're games, and of course charcters like majin buu ot cell will survive there own explosion due to A having a high regeneration and B only needing like a piece of them to regenerate to full health
