Ultra Pro Silver Series 9-Pocket Binder Pages Review + Comparison to Platinum Series (2019)

This is a quick review and comparison of the Ultra Pro Silver Series binder pages compared to their Platinum series.
I have been able to find little information comparing the two so hopefully this helps.

Thank. You. Additionally, the ones with the flap are great if you Never Literally Once want to remove or rearrange the cards, holy god, why are those not a separately titled release with a strict warning?

Do you know why binder pages fog up over time ? It always ends up looking cloudy even after 1 year it is super annoying. Dragon shield pages don't fog up as fast or as easily as ultra pro. But I would love to find a prevention method if possible.

Thank you so much for this! I was quite hesitant for the silver series but after watching this I think it is fine to use. Especially since I'm gonna put deck protector sleeves and deck protector cover on the card :) It will still fit fine with those, right?

Your average penny sleeves fit fine so I imagine those sleeves would fit fine too.

does the silver series binder pages fits cards with sleeves or only without sleeves on it? great video.

Yes they fit fine. Tight fitting sleeves would be best, but even looser penny sleeves fit fine.

Came here because I'm not so sure about the silvers I just purchased. Wanted to see if it is just my batch. They're a bit wrinkley. I usually use the platinum ones. Maybe i got a bad batch but to me the difference is huge. The platinum are very stiff and solid. Much thicker and hold my cards straight for over 10 years already. The silvers on the other hand feel like they bend my cards a bit. With that said, I use the old platinums without the new top cover. The new ones seem like a hassle when you're putting in delicate cards. Either way, I f you have high value cards I would defenitely go for the platinum ones. Preferably the old Platinums without the top cover lid. Awell luxury problems I guess.

Hello ! Could you please tell me if the cards can get inside with "standard ultra pro sleeves" please ? I can't find any information since most of them are using "pro fit" which are thinner than standard ones. Thanks and great video !

With the more recent platinum page it looks like the cards in the top row have the same protective top flap as the other rows? I like the idea of this flap because it should keep cards from falling out the top of the pocket. According to a site I looked at the platinum pages are thicker than the silver ones. Unfortunately I can't see any pages with that flap listed on Amazon.ca.

Yes the top row has the flaps too. I didn't consider that advantage but it would stop cards falling out if the binder was upside down or dropped. This is where I bought my pages from if it helps: shorturl.at/xJMZ0

@@-elliott4480 Thanks. Looks like the word secure in the product name must be a reference to those flaps. Okay, using the word secure I was able to find the pages to buy, but they are expensive and have bad reviews. I'm just going to buy some normal ones instead.

can anyone tell me what potentially causes those random marks that suddenly appear on my binder pages? like faint marks on random areas of the page. it seems irremovable

I'm pretty sure that's just the cheap plastic getting old. These things aren't very high quality and they will quickly start lookling and feeling like old plastic. They scratch quite easily and they feel 'dirty' real quick.

Would you be able to soft sleeve a card first & then fit it into one of these pages?

sadly no, pokémon cards aren't tightly fitted into sleeves. so the loose edges won't be able to fit in.

@@trxpededitz5938 Ok thanks. What pages would you recommend for soft sleeving a card first? Also, for the soft sleeve, would you recommend a regular sleeve or an inner sleeve?

@@superarsenal009 i'm not sure about the pages. and personally i'd recommend regular sleeves over inner sleeves simply because they are easier and cheaper to come by
