They're basically completely blind, and rely on air currents to tell them whether there are prey or predators to be concerned with. Unless you're matching those air currents, they're not likely to be concerned about you.

The Velvet worm is soft, squishy, badass, and slow-moving...and harmless The centipede is sharp, speedy, venomous, and very angry all the time and has a more intimidating look

Just the fact that this show even mentions that this worm was found by the crew, let alone actually showing the footage of them finding it without Coyote, just shows the quality of this show. This show isn't a one man powerhouse like with Steve Irwin, Bear Grylls, or Les Stroud's shows, its a group effort and that is awesome! Major respect to the show for involving the crew like this and featuring them whenever they bring something cool to the table.

This creature is literally my favorite. Not since this video, but since I've learned about it. Imagine a creature so fragile but so deadly. It's a master hunter and I'd never consider anything but this lovely creature as my favorite. I won't even own one. That's how much I love them.

Onychophora are one of my favorite animals ever along with gastropods as a whole (specifically sea snails and sea slugs) so I always come back to this video to watch this little guy and I love him so much 🥺

Even the fancy-sounding scientific names for creatures are usually just a really basic description translated to Greek or Latin. My favorite one is the Eurasian brown bear: Ursus Arctos Arctos: ursus is Latin for "bear" and arctos is Greek for "bear" so the name literally translates to "bear bear bear." My other favorite is the wolf: Canis Lupus which translates to "dog wolf". The Eurasian wolf is Canis Lupus Lupus "dog wolf wolf" and the domesticated dog is Canis Lupus Familiaris or "familiar dog wolf"

I think the reason why they're called worms is because its morphology kind of looks like a worm with legs. In fact, phylum Onychophora sometimes also refers to as 'legged worms' and their close cousin is phylum Arthropoda (insect, crustacea, etc.). They're body are also made up of chitin, but didn't get reinforced by Sclerotin or calcium carbonate like in Arthropoda. This is why their body are soft and squishy.

Ristygirl Like it's said, "Men are grown-up boys with pay checks." I LOVE to keep my husband entertained, but even though he's a real manly man and gets the same way excited about other things considered boyish, he hates most insects and all reptiles. So I try to get away with forcing his meeting one, but make sure it's beneficial to his "core values of survivalism and mutual relationship" and educate him beforehand. THANKS TO THIS CHANNEL 😊!
