The lack of ice videos he put out last season after January is kinda concerning tho.. probably was saving them.. hopefully we don't start only getting videos from the previous seasons like Jason Mitchell and few of those other bigger media guys

Awesome video! You guys have to get some Finicky Foolers and Okuma Baitfeeder Reels for your dead sticks. With the Okuma Baitfeeder Reel you can have the baitfeeder engaged, the fish will trip the Finicky Fooler flag and the reel will allow the line to freespool so the fish don't realize they are taking line like a tipup or rattle reel.

I love and use longer rods as well, but I feel like in shallow water you have more chance of losing fish with a longer rod. Not sure why but you just seem to be able to pin the fish quicker and keep the line more vertical with a rod that's under 32" when fishing in less than 8 fow.

Epic footage!!! I do quite a bit of super shallow Steelhead fishing on the ice and the thick ice makes it super difficult to not loose the fish but it's still fun, Congrats to all Canadians on Gussey's big win!!! Being from Northern Michigan I love it when a guy from the north hands it to those southern guys who used to totally dominate BASS im a KVD fan to the bone but Gustafson is also one of my faves
