I'm glad you noticed the connections between some fighters. One of the the many reasons I love fighting games is the potential for hidden storytelling from visual design alone. You are correct that Gouken is the master for both Ryu and Ken. He also trained Dan for a short while and is also the brother of Akuma. Of course you wouldn't know this just from watching them fight, you'd have to dig deeper to know more. I love little details in the gameplay itself that flesh out the world and characters. In the future when you see more fighting games keep an eye out for little details like shared moves or similar outfit designs, I'm sure the comments will tell you all about it!

Why he has 4. -Gouken is indeed Ken and Ryu's master, as well as Akuma's brother. -Hakan is a Turkish oil wrestler and uses oil to make himself more slippery (it's really a thing, look it up). -Juri has what is called a "Feng Shui Engine" in her left eye, which actually gives her a power boost. -Oni is the demonic version of Akuma, who has basically lost all humanity and has embraced the dark power like Ryu has when becoming Evil Ryu, just more completely. -Sakura is NOT Ryu's daughter, but just a random schoolgirl who saw Ryu fight one day and wanted to become like him, so her moves are basically copies she's done herself. -Seth is basically a "spare body" that was created for M. Bison, to put his consciousness into in order for him to survive forever, but instead became sentient and made his own plans. -Yun and Yang are indeed brothers, and both are actually chefs for their full time jobs. -Abel is ALSO a spare body, like Seth, created for M. Bison, but escaped, lost his memories and became good. -Adon is the pupil of Sagat, but he's evil and wants to surpass his master. I'm sure there are others and I maybe messed some of the information up, but yeah, hope this helps 😄

Elena's Healing may not do any damage, but it's one of the most overpowered ultras in the game. So annoying when she lands one knockdown, heals herself, then runs out the timer.

So Cody's deal is that he is really, REALLY strong in fact he's one of the strongest characters in the SF universe, and the only reason why he has the hand cuffs is as a limitation to make his fight's 'interesting.' Several Characters actually recognize this and will mention it should they win against him. He's also only in prison because he wanted to have fun and broke out of jail of his own accord. In SF5 though he becomes the mayor of a city at the insistence of Mike Haggar. Hakan is a Turkish Oil Wrestler, and his body is covered in oil, while oiled up Hakan is one of the strongest characters in the game, but without oil he's easily one of the worst characters in game. Also Capcom being Capcom they weaponized his oil in a... unique fashion. If you wanna see Hakan in action I would recommend watching Evo Infiltration vs PRBalrog. I will warn you will hear the quote "One of the strongest characters in the game while oiled up" by one of the commenters, alot. So do you remember Kage in SF5? Kage is more or less the manifestation of the Satsui No Hadou in Ryu which normally would turn him into Evil Ryu. It's why he looked like Ryu but unlike Ryu was completely merciless. Also Dee Jay and Elena are both practitioners of Caporeia which is a unique fighting style that has dance-like moves. Elena fights primarily with her feet, even if you used her 'punch' button she would Kick. Funnily enough 2 characters has a similar function, Balrog, or Boxer, the black dude who did the headbutt, and Dudley, the guy who did the rolling thunder, all their buttons are punches only.

My favorite ultra move from M.Bison’s is the second one when he impales his opponent through the stomach and pulls his hand out. That to me was so badass, and Bison’s one of my favorite boss characters next to Vega and Sagat

I could be wrong but the reason why Gen (the old dude in purple around 7:08) has 4 ultra's is because of he's a Stance Archetype. Since he uses 2 fighting styles when fighting. Those being Mantis and Crane.

the Street Fighter series is by far one of my most favorite fighting game series created, and the lore behind each character and their stories are amazing, my favorite is Cammy she has a sad backstory, she is the one with the green leotard and red beret, the Udon Comics storyline for the Street Fighter series go into some of their stories but not all characters because there are 114 total the last time I checked, if yaw read comics, I highly recommend the Street Fighter series by Udon Comics.

Oni is Akuma in his ultimate form which is why you see the same ink symbols at the end of their ultimates. Oni is also the strongest character in Street Fighter since his strength is massively above everyone elses and can even take out a moon if he went all out. Akuma in his normal form is supposed to be around Island level. Sakura is just a school girl that hangs with Blanka and Dan but has a admiration for Ryu which is why she has similar moves. Elena's 2nd ultimate heals her rather than does damage. Cody was part of the same group as Guy before ending up in jail. Yun and Yang are twin brothers who fight together. Yun likes to skateboard(you can tell by his 2nd ultimate) and Yang likes to use rollerblades. Adon is a rival of Sagat in terms of Muay Thai. Hakan actually uses Oil not water but you guys were close lol

The red guy Hakan is a Turkish oil wrestler who also runs a cooking oil company. Also, the sport of oil wrestling in Turkey is known as "yağlı güreş" (yah-lee gi-resh). They wear traditional leather kispet shorts and literally douse themselves in vegetable oil, canola oil, etc., in order for it to be difficult to be pinned. What's crazy about this sport is that grappling your opponent by shoving your hand or hands inside their kispet to gain leverage is perfectly legal, and in the old days, matches would occasionally go on for days without end, as the only way a match will end is when a wrestler is pinned.

C.Viper deserves to come back...her suit is like Iron Man...it has all these cool fire, electrical gadgets in it...so badass...i can't believe she never was in the sequels.

here's a couple of fun facts: Akuma and Gouken are brothers. Oni is actually non-canon, confirmed by Capcom themselves. Balrog was inspired by Mike Tyson. it's more apparent when you watch the japanese version where Balrog's name is Mike Bison. the name was changed because Capcom feared a lawsuit, so Mike Bison became Balrog, Balrog in japan is now Vega, and Vega in Japan is now M.Bison. Adon is Sagat's former student. you may be wondering, if you saw it, that Dhalsim, the stretchy guy, had a necklace with 3 tiny skulls adorned on it. those are actual human skulls from 3 children who died in an epidemic in his village, and he keeps them there on his necklace to keep their memory alive. Dhalsim is also the oldest character of the original 8 fighters from the Street Fighter 2 game, while Balrog is the youngest at 22. Gen, the old guy with 4 Ultras, used to be Chun-li's teacher.

Fun fact: The woman at 13:01 is named Poison and she is a very important character in gaming. She, along with her friend Roxy, is one of the oldest trans women in video game history, debuting in the game Final Fight in 1989. And her story is an interesting one. Long story short, Poison and Roxy were originally designed female, but when Final Fight can to the west the localization team didn't want the heroes to attack women so they made them trans (even though trans women are still women but it was the 90s so what can you do). This led to a big debate that went on for decades between the fans since in the original Japanese version they were still women. Eventually, the people at Capcom, the makers of Final Fight and Street Fighter, did start mixing the two versions together somewhat. M Stands for Mike which is Mike bison which why almost sounds like Mike tyson. The claw Vega real name balrog he's from Spain. And the dictator M.bison real name Vega. There's a reason why they switched their names on the global version.

Guys before I mentioned to react to destiny forsaken campaign. But I think that since Cayde-6 was your favorite character then I recommend to watch: Destiny 1 & 2: CAYDE 6 Best moments before watching The Forsaken campaign, so you can know more about Cayde and his great personality.

Chun-Li's _Hosenka_ is my absolute favorite. I can never get tired of seeing her lightning-kick the sh!t out of her opponents, that's always cool to see, but then she quickly follows it up by launching her opponent into the air with an upwards kick to continue by propelling herself into the air by using a burst of her _chi_ against the ground and resume her onslaught with a rising spinning-bird-kick, until finally she ends it with an upside-down double-legged kick upwards sending her opponent into a mad flying spin. But then after all of that a$$ kicking she just dealt, she just daintily spins downwards to the ground while at the same time her opponent crash-lands behind her. And she does all this so gracefully, I love it. Kind of reminds me of the quote: _"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee."_

Oni and Akuma's Ultras don't have the "K.O.'" message appearing because those are moves meant for killing. So essentially, they killed their opponent. Balrog's 2nd Ultra is called Dirty Buffalo. And why is that? Because it's a bunch of dirty/illegal boxing moves. He first does a headbutt, then a foot stomp and finishes it with an elbow strike, which are very illegal moves in boxing. Hakan isn't covered in sweat or water. It's oil. His fighting style consists of bathing himself in oil, and then grappling the opponent, while his grapples become all slippery, Elena's 2nd Ultra is a healing Ultra. Doesn't do damage, but recovers quite a good amount of health Gen has 4 Ultras because he has two different stances, which gives him two different movesets. So he gets 2 Ultras for each stance

Gen have 4 supers because he is basically two characters in one. He have two types of stance and in each one he have exclusive punches/kicks, special moves and supers. He is the most hard character to master in SFIV. Also Dan is Capcom knock off joke character that based on two characters from SNK - Ryo and Robert (you already saw them in KOF14). Ryo was already some sort of knock off based on Ryu. But Capcom answer on that with Dan) . Many Dan's move is parody on Ryo's moves. In every new chapter where Dan appears, Capcom add more moves from SNK games to Dan.

For Gen the reason he has 4 ultras is because he has 2 different fighting styles. The one he uses his fists is mantis and the one he uses his legs more is crane and they are 2 kung fu styles

You should check out Devil May Cry’s Nero Buster moves. There’s two videos for the four the and fifth games showing a side by side comparison between the normal attack and when he’s Devil Triggered. Side note, starting in the fourth game, every character gains a unique way of fighting, with Nero being more on the brutal side

Seth (the grey guy) is one of M.Bison's replacement bodies and can copy moves from many fighters. He, along with Juri appear as major antagonists in Bandai Namco and Monolith Soft's tactical RPG Project X Zone 1, where he takes control of technologies from other franchises like Alisa from Tekken, Dural from Virtua Fighter, and the BOWs from Resident Evil. Dante, Arthur, Chris, and Jill are also playable. I love akuma/Oni's special moveset for me because he was featured in Asura's Wrath which is 💯 x cool effects so well watch asura's wrath and you know what I mean. Well the special movesets of Ryu/Evil Ryu and Akuma/Oni were featured in the special episode as guests in Asura's Wrath so better watch out for it...

Rolento, Cody, Guy, Poison and Hugo all came from the Final Fight series of beat em up arcade games. Cody and Guy were the player characters alongside Mayor Haggar. Rolento was a stage boss in the original game, Poison and Hugo were literally common mooks. Also Sakura is not Ryu's daughter. She is literally his fangirl who saw him won matches. And got became her hero of sorts, wanting to be like him, she trained to copy his moves and somehow she became good at it, which is why she can do hadokens and pull of a shoryuken. She's the underdog of the series

Interesting see no hardcore fighting game people evaluating just visual part of the ultras: Gen's Ultras are sick (he has 2 fighting instances, each with 2 Ultras...that's why 4 ultras), however the Ultra that was the less flashy and they didn't was the one hated by competitive scene: Helena's Healing (this is the name of that Ultra) recovers some health, and there were times that oponent had to basically depleate near two lifebars to win one round. That mechanic was implemented in kindda unfair way in this game and competitive people not playing with her were pissed off by that.

Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Juri, Cody and Guy are my favorite characters.
