WELL I finally unlocked the ability to be able to watch this video and (somewhat) understand the concepts as I finished Act 1 of Ultrakill! I am starting Act 2 on the 27th Jan (Saturday btw) at 3pm GMT! :) I am so excited to check out his video for act 2, this has absolutely been one of my favourite Max0r videos to date!

20:10-20:20 I think that due to playing on Lenient difficulty, King Minos never spawned a black hole. In my own playthroughs and viewings of others who play on Standard or Violent, he tends to spawn it pretty early.

Hello, just to clarify, the Gluttony layer (the fleshy one) is not actually inside of Minos' corpse, the tunnel going through Minos' mouth is just one of the many ways to enter Gluttony. Pretty much Hell magic means the way forward could appear anywhere, in this case it just so happened to be through Minos' mouth Hope that clears things up :3

@@georgieegamesits both actually, Hakita in Discord said that it's inside Minos and Hell itself, it's hard to explain but it's basically like Minos becoming a part of the Gluttony layer

21:33 as cool as gluttony taking place in minos would be, the dev confirmed somewhere that hell is just a dreamlike place that makes no sense, which is why minos has an elevator in his mouth that leads to gluttony

If you want advice on how to use the Marksman pistol, the best thing I've learned is that the coins inherit your momentum, so if you angle yourself up, start moving in a direction, and throw a coin, they always stay in the same position on your screen as long as you keep moving and don't turn your camera. That makes it more of a timing challenge and less of an aiming challenge, since the coin will automatically pass through your crosshairs as long as you don't change angle or direction. It's usually easiest to open a fight with this, allowing you to start off with a big score bonus and a nice chunk of damage, then not worry about it as much during the chaos of fighting and dodging.

I most of the time make my camera aim up, throw the coins and shot them. If you have the camera vertically the coins will only have upwards momentum

fun fact: the cerberus statues are all real demons, but many of them just choose to not do anything and just sit there with their energy spheres. so yeah, it would be terrifying if they came to life after the cerberus boss fight.

5:14 I would say that you should use the weapons you are most familiar or comfortable with, but you should keep an open mind and try using what you aren’t familiar with every now and then, so that you can rely on what’s comfortable for you and still occasionally use what is unfamiliar.

So, some clarifications: 1: yes, this is Gabriel voice actor, Giovanni is a fucking legend and regularly narrates memes. 2: the reason you didn't seen the "power if the void" is because you playt on a different difficulty level. 3: the Gluttony layer is not inside Minos body. Hell is an abstract place, with it's own will. If Hell wouldn't have found V1 actions entertaining enaght, V1 would be still roaming in Limbo. 4: the outro music is from a gacha game called Punishing Gray Raven, and its name is Exorcism.

21:24 - 22:30 This right here is misconception though. In short, both 3-1 & 3-2 exist separate from Minos' corpse thanks to the fact that space in Hell is very inconsistent (like, my best comparison is that it works like a room randomizer with no logic).

12:02 it wasn't hard because on lenient difficulty Hideous Mass fight (as well as others) is nerfed really hard, not by just lowering stats but also by removing some mechanics. Grapple is much slower that you can dodge it by just running sideways and 2nd claw attack doesn't create a vertical shockwave at all. 20:10 as i said earlier and not only me, Lenient difficulty nerfes bosses by mechanics. In case of Corpse of King Minos - he can't spawn Void projectile.

About the coin aiming. I struggle with it myself and I dont use autoaim. But what I found is that generally walking back or forth after throwing it and waiting just a moment for the flash usually results in a dual coin shot ^^ Just thought to share with a fellow player :P

So seeing how many people have already commented about Gabriel's VA i won't be echoing the same info, however i do recommend you to watch a vod of him playing through act 2 while voice acting gabe when you're done with it yourself (just in your free time, the vod is obv really long so no reaction needed). That guy is fucking hilarious xd Also answering your question about the music in the outtro: that's "exorcism" from punishing: gray raven's ost. Banger

Firstly, this comment contains no spoilers. 5:00 Max0r shot through Gabe, which hits a coin behind him, then the coin above him, then the left, then through him again with a railgun. Requires fast mouse movement I recently played the entire game of Ultrakill on a controller to get a feel of what you'd encounter on your play through. There is a section on Act 3 layer 7 that requires quick aim and movement midair. I got through it so I hope you're good at midair acrobatics on controller. Good luck

The track at the end is called Exorcism, from Punishing Gray Raven. It's from the patch with Balter (Bianca Abystigma). An earlier part of the song was also playing at the beginning of the video during Gabriel's monologue.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but these max0r videos are special in the sense that whenever you hear him talking, he's actually pretending to be the Machine, which is why Gabriel is directly responding to what he says. And also why he literally calls himself a gopro.

The credits music is by Vanguard Sound Studio and is specifically a Punishing Gray Raven Track. That and Girls Frontline are kind of the two big things that group often makes music tracks for and they're often dramatically metal and filled with emotion and personality. Especially when it helps to inflict mandatory mental and emotional trauma in Girls' Frontline. Vanguard Sound Studios and pretty much any Hoyoverse related music are almost always guaranteed in Max0r videos

15:26 about red arm. You can use it against centuries, when they are aiming, you can punch to stop them. On new Violence layer you can use red arm against gutterman's shields to break it

You were a bit confused about the "throwing coins into an enemy" thing - the actual technique is to toss them into/through enemies and use the piercing railcannon variant to target the coins and hit an enemy several times with the same shot (because it hits them every time that it bounces off a coin). Sometimes at the start of Gabriel's Phase 2, I will get under him, toss 4 coins into him, and then railcannon, and it will deal a good 60% of his health bar instantly if I time it right. You can also use this tech to instakill a Cerberus by tossing a coin through it, backing up and tossing a coin in front of it, then targeting the coin in the back - it'll pierce through, hit the back coin, reflect to the front coin (piercing through again), and then reflect off of the front coin and back into the Cerberus for a third hit, which will kill it.

It's not literally inside of his body. Word of god (hakita) says the transition between layers is abstract and not literal so the geography is stream-of-consciousness. Its in the gluttony layer, not inside the husk of minos.

3:41 it takes practice to consistently hit the coin, jumping then throwing it straight down helps since it directly follows u, so does maintaining movement while the coin is thrown (if u moved forward while throwing the coin keep moving forward)
