Ultralight fishing a random creek near Cleveland, OH! Great times on the water - I caught a ton of fish and more importantly, I enjoyed a beautiful adventure in a really neat ecosystem. Additionally, I was able to catch numerous species throughout the day. Shoutout to that random pond which had a ridiculous population of sunfish :)

2021 MULE JIG MULTISPECIES CHALLENGE
Throughout 2021, I am going to track my total species count using Mule Jigs. All of the fish caught will be placed on my Instagram Story Highlights for easy tracking. I will do my best to track my progress on KZfaq as well. I encourage everyone to join me in the challenge if they think it will be fun! Species No.11: Green Sunfish
Literally all of the fish caught in this video were on the same 1/80oz Mule Jig & Donkey Tail Jr. I am so happy with how this gear is working :)
I am very thankful that I got the opportunity to do some exploring while on a work trip for my day job. Any time you get a few extra hours of downtime, I always encourage you to go have an adventure. Whether you bring a fishing pole or not, it always feels great to get some fresh air.

Welcome to Ohio. If you fish a creek, you get chubs and greenies. Sometimes if the creek is big enough, you might get a smallie. Even though I am in SW, I am pretty sure I know where you are. Beautiful Ohio. Cheers.

Right on Stephen! Honestly this was my kind of fishing. I wish we had more warm water species creeks in my area. Most of my creeks are chubs and maybe some trout but limited sunfish/bass. Definitely would love to get back and do it again. If you are in SW Ohio, you should go try to catch some Orange Spotted Sunfish. Such cool fish!

Way to turn business into pleasure Ethan. I loved that first creek and that waterfall. Love exploring those hidden little gems. You did well at the chocolate milk pond. I was thinking the same thing though; drop a pike or muskie in there to thin the little guys out a bit lol. Finished strong on the 3rd spot. Great day of exploring and UL fishing. I'm headed to Ohio next week. A subscriber invited me to come out and take me on his boat for some Lake Erie smallies. Hoping we get into some of those legendary Erie smallmouth 🤞

1. Mule Jigs are THE JAM!! Seriously...they just fit in them fish's mouths so perfectly to hook 'em 2. I need more practice/tips on casting the 1/64 and 1/80 jigs...so light 😬 help! #finesseFishing

1) Thanks a ton - exactly why I developed them that way! 2) Using an UL power rod and low diameter line helps immensely. Personally, I find that 2lb monofilament makes a major impact.

Can confirm! ^ I tend to have to let out more line, (half the length of the rod) and then swing the lure overhead or to the side, similar to how you would cast a fly fishing rod. Especially with 1/80th oz on 4lb mono haha!

Awesome fishing there. I had zero luck on my trip today if you do not count a 70kg swede, yeah hooked myself in my finger when I almost fell out of the boat 😣 lucky I carry a heavy duty side cutter in the bag, push the hook through cut it off then continue to fish.

Lol still haven't tried Wendy's Chili. I promise you I will try it when it is cold again but chili doesn't sound too appetizing now that it is getting hot out! And believe it or not, I got fish tacos instead of a burrito. Not complaining, tacos are always delicious :)

How far can you cast a 1/80 jig? I've been bass fishing and im starting to enjoy pamfishi when the bass bite is slow. Go get some walleyes out of Lake Erie instead of having burritos!! Lol

Haha if I would have had any time to chase Erie walleye, you know I would have! And the 1/80oz can cast about 30' or so - the most important part is having a UL rod and low diameter line.

They call Cleveland, forest city for a reason. If that pond is like any pond in NE-Ohio there are a few MONSTER channels in that pond I live in the Cleveland suburb area and would like to know where that pond is I’d like to throw a cat line out and report back

I would go with a Shimano or Daiwa reel in a size 1000! I love my Daiwa Revros LT 1000 :)

I don't remember where exactly it was. I was in town for some work but I believe this was somewhere southwest of town near a public park if memory serves correct.
