子供の時分、ウルトラマン初見の時にウルトラマンをここまで追い詰めたゴモラがすごくカッコよく思えた。というかウルトラマンと互角に戦える怪獣がいるなんて❗と思った。ウルトラマンを倒したという意味ではゼットンの強さが際立ちますが、私はゼットンよりもゴモラの方が記憶に残っています。

I'm like 10000000% sure people were surprised when this episode came out that Ultraman actually lost to a monster for the first time when he had just been slaughtering monsters every episode before this. And it was a dinosaur that defeated him, not an alien, not a space monster, just a dinosaur! Although that is pretty impressive

Back in the 1960s and 70s, there was not a huge amount of movies and TV shows like today. Society was less desensitized so horror films felt more real and sci-fi stuff felt more impressive.

I remember being an American, and my dad showing this series to me simply because when I asked him who his favorite superhero was, he didn’t want to say Batman or Superman so he said Ultraman.

Pretty damn good... In my younger days, me and my cousin spented a lot of time watching japanese series like ultraman, and mazinger z..... Those were great moments..

Holy shit. I never expected any kaiju fight to get over 200 million view. This is kinda understandable tho, because it was the debut of the prince of the monsters (Gomora :)).
