Thank you for the video, you don't hear many reviewers reminded us to enjoy music anymore. Ultrasone's different sound signatures really intrigue me. I now own two, the bass with some has a physicality I have not found on anything else. For me they work well with certain genres, but continue to surprise me.

Reminds me of the Audio Technica ATH-8 (electret with energiser) which I purchased in 1983 - yes they are 40 plus years old, but I still have them and use them regularly. My go to headphone when I want to relax and just enjoy the music.

Thats a common problem with ultrasone which is why ill probably never buy another one of their headphones. Ive had the signature DJ for about a decade already and ive paid their inflated price for replacement pads. But they dont even sell them anymore and holy hell were they priced gouged on their own site. Talking close to $300 for a pair of earpads that deflate in another a year of use. For DJ studio headphones thats just obscene 😂. Unfortunately the ear hurting pads sound best on them because they are tuned such that your ear needs to be as close to the driver as possible but finding support or affordable replacement parts like cables and pads is just stupid with this company. And its a damn shame because they are my favorite headphones. Even with slightly degraded quality using the thinnest replacement pads i could find, and overpriced replacement cable thats slightly microphonic because finding appropriate locking cables is not easy. Ive since just got the lcd xc, with EQ are better in comfort and detail retrieval. But without EQ I still preffered the DJ. Ultrasone has a sound signature thats nice and there goes years of frustration into a youtube comment essay.
