I heard for the fist time Dancing With Tears in my Eyes and Vienna about 12 years ago, but I started listening all the Midge Ure music about 3 years ago, now is one of my favorite artists, he has an incredible voice!

The video is meant to be silly, it's a parody of the adventure movie fad of the 1980s - Raiders of the Lost Ark, Romancing the Stone, Firewalker, etc

yep - absolutely - and when this first aired inn 1984 we kind of already knew the intention was to spoof those big budget movies. Cool video and still enjoyable to watch now.

Sadly the last song as a quartet. This was a stand alone single and at the time the only album you could find it on was "Ultravox, the Collection" . Bought Midge Ure's "the gift" album the following year. Hoped that they'd reform, but came back as a trio in '86 and it was missing something. Waited and hoped they'd reform again and got my wish. The quartet returned and I bought the "Brilliant " album. Sadly I think that's it now. They've earned their retirement and what a great way to earn it.

Love the parodies! ....was too young to remember this video at the time. The woman he kisses towards the end of the video, and who he then walks away with, went on to become his first wife (Annabel Giles).

The symbol of beauty ,purity, powerfulness and originality that no word can explain what I feel , while listenning to that wonderful music, and his lovely voice.. his terrific presence. I was in love with his music , their amazing melodies !! This song is like a treasure ! Such a perfect piece of art, in the world of music !!

This was first pop video i taped on my vcr had its own little case that looked like a book used to look forward to TOTP felt like i was an editing Queen. My tape even had a label. We all had our own tape in my family. This brought back a happy memory.

This one was on a mix tape that my wife, then neighbor made for me. Magical. LOL, I can't believe the video is so cheesy being that it is from the golden age of music videos. Really good tune.

This is a really clever song. The lyrics are excellent and fit brilliant. Driving beat throughout-fantastic...and the video is one of the very best.

Cool song, but it was the end of an era. (Cue melancholic music here) I'm glad the whole band was back together for a bit - what this band had was pure magic and chemistry. Despite egos and arguments, as a whole they were better together.

This song was a bit different to the earlier records of Ultravox, and the video was something like a complete change. What can i say? I loved both - the song itself & the fabulous video (the lil break at the beginning is gorgeous 😉) and it has still lost nothing of it's magic to me 😃👍🌈

for a later years Ultravox tune, it's certainly one of my favs from the band overall. The adventurous theming, tensing building middle section, the string/brass hits throughout the middle section add on to the tension of the middle section before the final verse

Looking back, this song would've complimented the original "Neverending Story" very well. They both came out about the same time in 1984.
