I worked on a project featuring Huffington. First, she is very nice, humble, genuine, kind in person. Her team - equally top notch. I was impressed. Thurman really nails the accent. Plus she’s a very good, underrated actress.

Uma! 😍❤ One of the most underrated, talented and gorgeous actress of her generation. Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill are her two best movies of course but she has been in so many more good movies that unfortunately got overlooked like Gattaca, The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Mad Dog and Glory, Tape, Hysterical Blindness, Les Miserables, Nymphomaniac, Dangerous Liaisons, etc. Love her work.

Agree. 'Tape' and 'Hysterical Blindness' are very good movies, sadly overlooked. I would add 'Prime' with Meryl Streep, a low key charming nicely done romantic comedy.

I’m so disappointed that Uma didn’t maintain an A-List status Hollywood celebrity. The projects given to her after Kill Bill were all trash! She’s a very good actress & she deserved more & better projects.

Uber has an unfair advantage not needing taxi licences, won’t use them, and the Uber Eats requires a huge commission but has great brand recognition so everyone uses them - and restaurants cafes have to take a cut. Don’t get me started on Air B’n’B.

I started preferring Lyft and other alternatives to Uber after Uber decided to cash in when NYC taxi drivers were doing a single-day airport boycott in protest to Trump’s Islamaphobia-motivated travel ban.

The truth is that yellow cabs did it to themselves. For white people and people who look like they have money, yellow cabs are great, for everyone else, not so much. I have stood in corners for over 20 mins trying to hail a 🚖 on a busy road and they would just pass me with no passengers in their car. I literally waved one down that had just dropped someone off, he looked at me and did the get out of here hand gesture then drove off.

fun fact: I live in a country that actually banned uber for its bad behavior. Uber disappeared few years ago once the ban was enforced. Now, the country I'm living has a few other car hires and they are great!!

I worked at a driver office for Uber as a temp in like 2014 and was called and told that my “assignment ended” 2 days after they asked me and a bunch of girls who studied like sociology to do the vehicle inspections so that they didn’t have to pay the mechanics. I was the only one that was like I’ll do it if we can be trained, but you should put that in the job description. Having people who know nothing about cars do vehicle inspections when your whole business is having people be driven around in other peoples cars lol America is beyond a failed state with late stage capitalism.
