same lmao, reminds me of macedonian dances explanation: specifically by the musical style and the oboe sounding eerily like a zurla/zurna, which is because balkan music in its early history received a fuck on of ottoman influence, which inherited its music from the middle east, which is why you can find davul drums, tarabukas, kavals, kemanes, etc so far outside of the balkans

Hi all! Just want to say thank you for all the kind words about my arrangement and thank you to @eesiason for filming and posting this video!! I did this as a part of my Master's Composition degree while at UMass. I've always loved Dumbo and this piece of music in particular so it was such a joy to orchestrate and perform this with a full studio orchestra!! It's been really great to see the video getting so much attention as well so please keep liking it and sharing!! And for anyone curious, yes I transcribed all the parts by ear, from a KZfaq video in fact!!

Hi Zachary. This was a student orchestra at UMass and most of the players have moved on since then, but if you were actually serious I know enough players to pull it off!

@@danielthomas1387 If you were to make a proper and faithful recreation of this song, it would probably be better than the original as this one is already nearly perfect with only the sound quality of the camera and audience interruptions hindering it. the original soundtrack is amazing but its from the 1940s so the sound quality isnt amazing. I would love to see it uploaded on the net somewhere as youtube clearly lacks a version with clean sounds

this is probably the most faithful performance on youtube, i wish the sound quailty of the camera was better as well as no audience sounds during it all (that laugh really ruined it at 5:52)

This is incredible! My school orchestra has their concert in just one day, and you never really know how hard pulling off a performance is until you try to do it yourself. This will probably get buried in the sea of comments, but I still wish to show appreciation for this video. :)

This is actually a very impressive recreation the the whole Pink Elephants on Parade sequence with all the music phases in there, I would’ve like the peaceful dancing elephants Waltz to be a bit faster and the Latin Rhythm part afterwards to have some conga drums, maracas while the single trumpet that does the “da-da-da” part to be muzzled like in the film’s score to give it that same sorta sound.
