I have been playing Ambassador B’ for many months now. I play her essentially as a voltron commander . I play lots of blink effects to churn out all them stickers. Oh, any clone can bypass the legend rule if you first put a name sticker on Ambassador’B.

At the start of each game, i slide each of my 3 sticker sheets into a rigid plastic card sleeve. I notate where stickers are with a dry erase marker.

7:15 blorpity’s p&t setting effect would not override the stickers power changing effects because of layers set effect apply on layer 7b and the stickers power and toughness changing effect would then apply on layer 7c then counters on 7d I think

Pretty sure you've completely misread the card, the ambassador's power/toughness becomes the total of power and toughness stickers you control not a bonus for the number of stickers you control

Clone him. He surpasses the legend rule as he changes his name upon entry (choose a name sticker and add it to him). The cloned card will enter and survive due to the name change, and then it's etb will change its name. In total you should be able to have 10 of him on the table with different names *the 10th having the original name

I’m not sure that’s how that works. I do believe the clone card will also copy all stickers as it becomes part of the card. I could be wrong but that is how mutate works so I imagine it’s similar here

If wizards supplied us with "sticker sleeves" I'd be cool with the sticker thing. Since they do not supply us with sleeves and it's like 10-15$ for a box of 100 good sleeves they can go suck it and throw this mechanic in the trash. I hope some people have fun with it though.

I literally just realized that issue and now I'm hesitant to build this guy. I'd rather put the sticker on my inner sleeves but doing that is more tedious.

I would be surprised if any MtG player doesn’t have a few rigid plastic sleeves lying around. They work perfect for stickers. Just notate with a dry erase marker.

soo umm, quick question... Blorpityblorpbloop gives you 3 Tickets when he enters the battlefield and then you may place a Sticker on a nl permanent. Do you get the Sticker for free or do you have to pay for it with the tickets? And if you have to pay for it, can you only place stickers on something if another card says so? Or can you just pay the tickets whenever you like?

You can only place stickers whenever an effect allows you to. Only ability and P/T stickers cost tickets. You may use art or name stickers without paying tickets (and that does matter for certain eternal legal effects). Tickets are essentially another resource (they work exactly like energy counters if that helps) so you can save them up to pay for better stickers later. And just for the record, stickers stay on until it enters a private zone. That means they are only removed when the card goes to deck, hand, or exiled face down (if that comes up) so they stay even in grave and the command zone! And while every sticker effect says you can only put them on your own nonland permanents, the rules have updated to even clarify that it’s illegal to put stickers on any other type of card if that ever comes up as well.

Only cards that have an acorn at the bottom are illegal, this is an uncommon so it doesn't have the normal holo symbol only rare and mythics get them. But if any card outside of a rare or mythic are not legal, they will have an acorn at the bottom.

The counters 1/1 -1/-1 don't cancel each other out that way. The counters are still there, the p/t just remains unchanged. Decks with proliferate will still fuck you over and counter decks use the counters

They do though…? The counters still get placed but then they poof each other out of existence. This ruling is featured in a few loops actually (hi Kitchen Finks!). If you have a proliferate friend, I suggest you have them take a look at the rule book

Rule 122.3 If a permanent has both a +1/+1 counter and a -1/-1 counter on it, N +1/+1 and N -1/-1 counters are removed from it as a state-based action, where N is the smaller of the number of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on it. See rule 704.

It’s illegal in the rules to put a sticker on a card you do not own and every effect that places stickers also reflect that. They knew it would be an issue so they decided to avoid that nightmare

These stupid cards used to feel like a fun joke to me. But now that WotC made them eternal legal they feel like a fucking cancer metastasizing on the game. Kinda like Hasbro's shareholders now that I think about it...
