KJ Nagarsheth, MD, assistant professor of surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, vascular surgeon and co-director of the Limb Preservation Program at the UM Heart and Vascular Center talks about vascular compression syndromes in this Facebook Live video. Vascular compressions such as May-Thurner syndrome, nutcracker syndrome and median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS) are common and underdiagnosed. However, they can cause abdominal, pelvic and back pain, nausea, dizziness, fainting, headaches, leg swelling and bowel habit changes. Dr. Nagarsheth explains how these conditions are diagnosed and treated at the UM Heart and Vascular Center.
