kudos to the legendary Sri Lankan captain Arjuna Ranathunga for standing against the umpire and media and defending Murali. He stood up to protect his youngster.

Despite all the comments against Murali's action, I wondered why Australia hired Muttiah Muralitharan as a spin bowling consultant for the test series against Pakistan in 2014. Does that contradict Australia's previous judgement? He has been tested and cleared as per the guidelines. No matter who has their justification about legal or illegal bowling.

Muralidharan wore metal braces to show the world he wasn't chucking, not to mention the biomechanical analysis showed most bowlers in the world at that time barring leg spinners were exceeding the previous limits of arm extension and yet idiots in this comment section acting like Darrel Hair was right. Speaks volumes about a certain mindset prevalent amongst cricket fans from certain parts of the world.

In Tests, Muralitharan was found to exceed the then 5 degree limit for spin bowlers, but his unusual action was found to be partially the result of a congenital elbow deformity and after further review, the ICC raised the elbow extension limit to 15 degrees for all bowlers

There was no reason to do this on the field on such a stage. There are laws in the game of cricket that are often ignored by players, umpires, and the wider community, for the greater good of the spirit of the game. As an Australian, I am embarrassed by Darrell Hair, and in particular, by Ross Emerson. I am also so happy I got to watch Murali at his peak. What a bowler!

This Darrell hair had such a hate on asian teams, always targetted india, pakistan and srilanka whenever he got chance. Good that pakistanis showed him the exit door😂😂😂😂😂
