He also gets a really savage burn on all of Earth's Heroes in the comics. He basically remarks on how while *he* was busy dealing with freaking *ANNIHILUS* (and *ALONE* at that!) the rest of Earth's "Heroes" were all busy with a little something called.... *CIVIL WAR* .... Needless to say, it really hits home as to how badly Earth's heroes screwed up when the guy who took down Annihilus * all by himself* is now justifiably chewing them out for causing/getting involved with a literal Civil War between people who *should* be HEROES who are supposed to *PROTECT* the Earth rather than *add* to the planet's existing problems.

@@goon5665 Technically, it could even be argued that Doom isn't even a true "villain" and is, at worst, an Anti-Hero, as he's gone "Hero" on more than one occasion, and his end goal is actually quite noble. Not to mention, even Wakanda's panther god, Baast has stated that the only universes where the Earth is free from suffering and want.... *are the ones where Doom rules the world* ....which is certainly saying something. :) So, just imagine how happy I was when Doctor Doom became a playable character in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, as perhaps the second most powerful playable character in the entire game (albeit as a "glass cannon" of sorts). Hell, before the game got shut down, Doctor Doom was my favorite character to use in Marvel Heroes as well (I actually dished out a bit of money just to be able to play as him ASAP).

The guy has literally soloed *ANNIHILUS* before (while the rest of Earth's heroes were busy with Civil War....Nova was *NOT HAPPY* about that and justifiably chewed out all of Earth's Heroes for it once he finally got back to Earth and learned about the events of Civil War)!

And the fact Rocket has no idea what or who Bambi is priceless. (In his win qoute against Nova)

jrny20 Depends if James Gunn change his mind. He said that he hated him and feel that he's OP. That is until MCU Nova corps used magic stone or discover how to make Centurions (headcanon: all of them were wiped out during the war with Kree).

I think is less that Gunn hates Nova and more like he doesn't want any human to be a main character ASIDE Star Lord. Nova will probably be a hero for a future individual film, with either Richard or Sam as his main protagonist, once phase 3 is finished and characters like Iron Man and Cap phase out of importance

It's a reference to the event "Annihilation", where Annihilus broke out from the Negative Zone, and tried to annihilate our universe with his armies. One of the parts that was hit was the Skrull Homeworld. Obviously, as a Skrull, that wouldn't suit him. Also, the Guardians didn't form until much after that event.

Apologies for the necroposting, but as mentioned above, the Annihilation event saw the Super Skrull having to ally himself with the anti-Annihilus army to save his homeworld and the rest of the galaxy in the process. Said army was led by Nova.
