@MrDelfosrivera some sources report "M. Rofino", others "F. Patavino", but the song is the same. Our version is a mix of two different songs. The first one is "Cavalca el Conte Guido" by Antonio Caprioli, the second one is "Un cavalier di Spagna". The words (first part) "Cavalca el Conte Guido per la Toscana la lanza in man che'l porta e la bandera"

Hi, I there eared, at least, 3 different lyrics about this song.....and I would like to know what the “original” text is. In your video the author is Magistro Rofino and exist at least another author in other versions (Francesco Patavino)....well i woul like to know the lyrics in your version Thanks a lot. PD I’m sorry my English, but my language is Spanish.

Lovely! Whenever I search for music for my choir, I find your beautiful recordings. Thank you! I'm hoping you can helping with the words, though - I'm afraid I don't speak Italian, so I have to puzzle out translations with my Italian-English dictionary. It says "fantina" is "jockey" but a jockey is a professional rider in a horse race. Would just "rider" make more sense here? Also, "non m'esser ribella" looks like "I am not a rebel" - how does that makes sense with the rest of the text?

Count Guido rides through the Tuscany, carrying lance and banner in his hands. A Spanish knight goes riding along the path at the foot of a mountain, singing for love of a maiden: Look this way, my fair young damsel, look for a moment at me, I beg you, sweet hope of mine, for I’m dying of love - pretty girl, I’ve given you my heart. He sees the fair one sitting close by a spring, all alone in the meadow, with a fresh garland of flowers: Look this way, my fair young damsel, look for a moment at me, my shining star ah, don’t be cruel, for I’m dying of love - pretty girl, I’ve given you my heart.
