Taeyong is so impressive and inspiring. Everyday I'm amazed by him. He did not have a background in music at all before joining SM at 18. He was not exposed to any music-related training at all before that. Exposure to anything during earlier age help a lot with one's skillset and ability to learn new things on top of a basic foundation. For someone with zero music / rap / dance / entertainment until 18, it is beyond impressive how far he has gone. He went from a "blank page" (a SM trainer called him this) to someone who not only excels during his parts but also guides and trains others.

@@kc2513 I believe he transferred from a regular high school to School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA) which is an art high school in his last year ( Source: smtown-nctzens.fandom.com/wiki/Taeyong ). This seems to align with when he was recruited to SM at 18. If he transferred to SOPA after he was recruited by SM (which makes sense) he truly had no music exposure before that. On an episode of Happy Together (a variety show) Taeyong mentioned that when he was recruited by SM he had no idea that SM is a big entertainment company (along with YG and JYP). He thought the Big 3 entertainment companies are SBS, KBS and MBC which are major TV channels in South Korea. I am not familiar with the singing competitions; I'm curious do you have links? I believe Taeyong does not have a brother but he has an older sister.

I can't imagine how nervous and worried Shotaro must have felt that day. It was his first ever recording (with so little vocal training considering he'd just moved to Korea, went out off quarantine and went straight to NCT 2020 schedule like photoshoot and stuff), but he did so well. The 'You should make a wish' part is so good and it fits so well with the vibe of the song (like what PD and Lucas said). Shotaro really has a unique voice and I can't wait until it'll be more polished. He has a lot more to offer.

Taeyong really enjoyed this song. In the MV, he looked like he was enjoying himself in every scene. On stages, he performed with such charisma and more freely as if he wasn't performing but just wilding to himself. And now even in the recording, he really seems to be in love with the beat and just chilling with the song. He really owns this era

The song is mysterious and has dark undertones (prior Taeyong loved in your face edginess and aggressiveness) Taeyong loves that. In long flight you can see that its all cutesy then goes to a cool environment but it always has a dark undertone in the instrumental and lyrics He is really interesting

What do you think that mic is? AUTO TUNE is used throughout the entire video, its adjusted with different levels of auto tune, they upped it during Jaemin and Shotaro Part.
