Not to knock you down but it’s pretty normal for a pro vocalist like Taeil. I used to sing too, and there are a lot of little things you can’t put your finger on when you’re not trained, but they make all the difference for a trained ear. Taeil nailed it. I was agreeably surprised by Jaehyun, I used to think he’s less of a singer than Doyoung or Taeil but damn he’s got control 😳

So it was Mark's idea to put "darlin', darlin'" in the beginning. It was a genius choice because it really sets the mood of the song. Everyone is great but I feel like Jaehyun and Doyoung's vocals suit this song the most. Their airy and velvety voices are just perfect for this heart-wrenching vampire love song.

I think in terms of how their voices sound doyoung is spring like in his song 'baby only you' it reminds me of a rainy day full of youth, something that you'd see in a drama. Haechan is summer definitely; full of youth and playfulness like in bungee jump nct dream has a lot of summer sounding songs in general. Taeil is autumn its hard to explain this one but fall to me is robust and seen as a transition season not fully appreciated until you see the leaves change into vivid colour and fall; people often forget Taeil's vocals until the moment he is singing his high note. It's a sort of robust singing that will never stop amazing and surprising you no matter how many times you experience it... and Jaehyun is winter.( like a warm Christmas his deep voice fits holiday seasons like his have yourself a Merry little christmas cover)

Interesting to see the differences among the vocalists' techniques. Taeil belts using mostly his chest voice creating that powerful, solid sound. Doyoung belts in his mix making it sound easier and a little effortless but lighter in sound than Taeil's. Haechan places his voice in his nasal register a bit a too much in my opinion but it's what makes the Haechan sound individual and distinct.

I agree that Taeil's belts are "powerful" but I think he really needs to work on mixing that belt, and get a little more ping from the nose area in order to preserve his voice. He's singing from his throat essentially and that's not going to work in the longterm.

the way mark is never satisfied with just getting an ok in the studio but have his own high standards for himself and uses his own input and ideas ,is why he's never gonna stop improving. he's so amazing, i'm so excited for his future.. i can only hope gets to write more of his raps because that's when he really shines the most. but he still does everything to improve the lyrics he gets its so cool.

Why isn't anyone talking about Jungwoo's voice? The boy made treble in such a simple way, although he was surprised that the next note of the song was high, he only did it once. It's amazing how much he managed to outdo himself, his talent should never be overlooked. 💗 PD: Yuta's voice is very beautiful, I wish he had more recognition !!

nct 덕은 아니지만 레코딩 듣는거 너무 좋아… 다들 너무 잘하고, 일단 노래가 넘 좋은데 이 곡이 만들어지는 과정을 보는게 너무 재밌음 ㅠㅠ 시즈니들은 좋겠다.. 나보다 몇백배는 재밌겠지….? 그리고 백보컬 누가 녹음하는지 보고 음원에서 찾아듣는것도 꿀잼임… 마침 에어팟도 새로 바꿔서 음질도 화려한데 딱 잘됐지 뭐임 ㅠ 하 재밌어 재밌어ㅠㅠ

Doyoung's voice is sooo beautiful. He perfectly captures the emotion of songs about love and longing and almost brings me to tears. And Haechan is so talented. These two have such angelic voices.

haechan's unique tone combined with his skill is just heaven. he knows how to maneuver his voice to make things sound better. his signature style is just so damn GOOD god i can't wait 'til he gets that solo. imagine getting this voice and this artistry but in a whole 3-4 minute song.
