If you have no active subscriptions and you’re still unable to remove your card, its because you pay 50GB or higher for extra backup data and that would be considered a subscription and they would need your card to pay for it every month, but if you’re already using 5GB then it should be free and you should be able to remove card automatically.

@@natpressos is the same thing happening cause if it is what u do is go on icloud and scroll down and u will see something that says “downgrade” u press that and downgrade it to 5GB after that u can go to the app store and remove ur card :). sorry i dont know if i explained that probably.

This didn't work for me but I'm dropping a like cause it covers enough solutions to be helpful to other people. I hope Apple works on their errors so we can better understand how to fix issues like this quickly.

Some of people has still the problem even tho they do not pay for icloud and i was one of them. Today i fixed it and removed my card from app store. all i did was that i changed country of the app store and then changed it back. Like that it will remove all your subscriptions and by that you will be able to remove.

Very good video! I need to change the region of my appstore, however, I can only do that with the billing address of the new country. However, I can only add a new card method with the new country if I change the country. So I'm in an infinite loop. And I can’t remove my payment method because of iCloud backup subscription. If I downgrade from 50gb to 5gb will I lose what I currently have on my phone?

Hi my name is Bridget I am having the issue that you’re explaining in this video of trying to remove payment method that I had no choice but to add because I wanted to continue my subscriptions. it looks like I’m going to have no choice but to cancel them and then restart them again. My question to you is that even if I do cancel my subscription will I have to use up the credit that is left on my account to be able to switch it back to none or can I leave the remaining amount on there and still switch it back to none??????? I would appreciate a response please help.

I tried the trial apple one premium of £29, but forgot to cancel it at the end of month, since then apple has been trying to take my money, tried to cancel the plan but says it already expired so I can’t cancel it, as I dont keep any money in that account, the payment get rejected by the bank, it won’t let me delete this card either as it says there is active subscription and need at least 1 payment. Now how do i delete that card or cancel the subscription which is not even active??? (Not letting Apple take my money)

Okay so I have $10 in my Apple account from a gift card. I can’t use it, it says payment method declined and it keeps trying to use my card. I didn’t really care to delete my card but that’s the only way I know to make it use my account balance instead. I have no active subscriptions and I’m not paying for any storage. Can i still remove expire subscription? I just use the free trial on hbo, youtube and amazon. But i forgot to cancel before it expired. Then i try to remove it and it wont.
