why is "call the police and leave" such a hard concept in movies?

Holy moly...that was creepy and scary and terrifying! The part where she's behind him flailing her arms almost gave me a heart attack.! And then the shower part..omg "shivers"... I've seen planty of short horrors and this is one of the best..great work with great acting..keep it up!

I’m very impressed with the lighting and camera angles. This was well done on a low budget. Great coverage and intelligent shot choice. The legs coming down from the attic was freaky AF! EDIT: Okay, finished it (albeit with my fingers over my eyes much of the time haha)....so so so well done. You needed no special effects, no CGI, no jumpscares...just a really suspenseful buildup. When Travis called on the wall phone....my heart dropped!!!!

This is just speculation but the way that the door opened and the way the legs hung down from the attic made me think of a person who had lived there and committed suicide. ???

Fantastic film! I love how you never got to see the whole “intruder”. You don’t know if it’s supernatural or an actual person; good choice! It left more questions and makes your mind wander. Very creepy! Loved it.

Yes! Home alone: Calls roommate. See’s vase crashed to floor: Gets spooked CALLS HIS MOM! Intruder?: Gets his gun and sweeps his house like a trained cop, refrained from calling the police to further investigate ghost possibility. WOW!!! It’s so rear to see horror movie characters make smart decisions in movies. They be even shorter than 10 minutes or not scary at all. This guy managed to do everything right for the whole damn time and it was terrifying! Well done to cast and crew!!!!

The part that got me to "peeking from behind my hands" scared was the hallway scene, when the lights were blinking and the person behind him was walking weirdly. Ack! LOL.

This was a very impressive horror short. It was very well made with excellent cinematography, and the tension and suspense were high. The twist at the end really worked, too. Fantastic job!

Holy Shit, great scare! Nice to see ending wasn't with that cheesy wide eyed, mouth open scarey face jump scare. The suspense build up was superb and I loved the man bun!

When those lights went out that would be my cue- I'd have been gone like yesterday- gun or no gun. And I consider myself to be pretty brave.

REALLY well done. Finally someone smart enough in one of these situations to use a gun. Nice touch having him keep his finger off the trigger early on, but then on the trigger as things escalate. Also great to see one of these without compression problems like the stuff on ALTER.

Really well filmed! Of course we have to suspend disbelief that he’d investigate a strange noise in a house where he’s fairly certain he’s alone! 😂 - As SOON as I hear any kind of odd, freaky noise like that, and I am fairly suspicious that some stranger is in my house and could be near me...I’m OUT of there in about 1 second. I’ve done that. I will run out into the street and stay there until someone I know comes over. I never understand people’s weird reactions in films.

SPOILERS - This is incredibly well done. I love it! Take this next part of my comment as a pure bit of fun speculation on my part, but the shot with the bare legs and the figure at the end could be seen as simply a woman living in the attic who has had time to observe the young men and can mimic the voice of the friend. She hasn't hurt anyone, and just because she looks creepy and does a weird dance/walk doesn't mean necessarily that she is anything supernatural. Oh, wait - I forgot that weird thing with the vase... And I just realized that maybe you weren't claiming that there was any supernatural element at all, but horror of the human variety. I'm just excited about commenting because I rarely see something as well done as this movie on KZfaq. Seriously, this is one of the best movies I have seen on KZfaq. Great job!

Found myself waiting for a jump scare the entirety of the film. I love that there weren't a lot of "dirty tricks," just to elicit a scare. The writing and cinematography were superb, and the acting was perfect. Also, lighting and sound were spot on. I applaud everyone who worked on this piece... So good I've watched it three times!

Great buildup on the part of the main character. His increasing confusion and fear is believable. Would like to have seen a different sort of entity at the end, rather than the woman with hair in her face, which is seen so often in horror shorts, but overall, I enjoyed this.

This is amazing. Great acting and the way you introduce the "creature"/intruder without showing to much and leaving the rest to the imagination. I kinda saw the twist coming but still, its beautifully done. The only thing that I would change is having him already on the phone with his mom when the base breaks. It doesn't makes to much sense to call her to tell her "it broke but I'm not going to do anything about it" IMO. Still loved it, very talented. Hope to see more horror films from you in the future.

Massive kudos for someone in one of these movies owning a damn gun. Not that it helps with the supernatural, but at least someone finally had one. Movie was well done, not sure most people call mom when a vase breaks, but he is young LOL. Another house with huge glass windows/doors that are wide open at night....I have two sets of large sliding glass doors and they're always covered....or else my dufus German Shepherd would smash through them anytime he saw a squirrel. Great job on this
