Dimash has been training his vocals since the age of 5, by the time he reached puberty, due to all the training his voice did not diminished like most other boys, yes it did get deeper, but because of his hard work and many hours in the training he was still able to keep his higher register while also developing his lower register and for his insane lung capacity that enables him to hold high registered notes for a very long time, is a result of Dimash's love for swimming, of course if you really love something you would always pursue it. So yeah a lot of vocal training, swimming, dedication and patience at a young age, made the voice and talent you see before you.

Dimash dears have seen many interviews with Dimash so we can tell you that Dimash didn't suddenly think he could sing like that. for Dimash there is no improvisation. It is the result of being born into a home of musicians who imbued him with his art from an early age. When he was preschool he already had his preferences and he walked everywhere with a box full of cassettes that according to his grandmother, there was no way to take it off until he fell asleep. While the children drew cars and airplanes, Dimash drew scenes with microphones, speakers, and musical instruments. At the age of five and given his interest in music, they decided to enroll him in a music school where he was diagnosed with "absolute pitch." From there he did not stop studying until he graduated from the Kazakhstan art faculty in classical and contemporary music. He completed a postgraduate degree in composition with honors and is currently preparing his thesis to pass a doctorate in musicology. Besides singing he has always had a passion for instruments of which he is fluent in 7. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue), Russian and English and is studying Mandarin Chinese. He has stated that he would like to be a polyglot to communicate with everyone. He sings in 12 languages. At 5 years old, he started attending music lessons, and right from the first day, his music teacher discovered Dimash had plain ear. Great gens from his both parents, also singers. 22 years studying music and practising almost everyday, with his teachers, even now that he's the best. A huge humility and sensitivity ... It's a compendium of factors, like a perfect astral alignment, which resulted in this awesome human being.

Dimash's parents are both musicians. He was found to have perfect pitch at age two.

Dimash has always been singing, literally everyday of his entire life. He has been singing/training/performing since 3-5 yrs old. He sings constantly. He has said that if you cut open his heart, you would find music, if you cut open his brain, you would find music. He was born into a musical family. His mother is a well known soprano singer and his father sang and produced music and they work with him now. Dimash will not 'burn out'. Dimash will sing & sing & sing. He has said that when it is time for him to sit in the audience, he wants those sitting next to him to feel comfortable with him because he never got 'star struck'. I watched an interview about Dimash. Igor and his mother were part of the panel. It’s quite a story. Igor retired. It was his mother who saw Dimash and told Igor to mentor him. I don’t remember if his first time hearing Dimash was his performance of sinful passion but you can see clearly at the end Igor is standing. It was also said by Dimash that it was always a dream to be mentored by Igor because off his admiration for Lara Fabian who had also worked with Igor . A pair that is unstoppable in most opinions.

Dimash is a perfectionist and a workaholic. In interviews on Kazak TV, he stated that he wakes up at 5AM (7 days a week). By 5:30AM he has begun doing 3 hours of vocal exercises (scales, arpeggios, lip bubbles, etc..). That is before he even begins his workday in the studio or at rehearsals for a concert. To improve his lung capacity and breath control, he will either swim laps in a pool for 1 hour uninterrupted or hit the treadmill for a 5k run. Sometimes, he will substitute that for a full-on 90 minute soccer match with his mates and their team. (He has good ball skills as you can see here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/odqPn9KctMCwh6s.html ). He doesn’t drink, either! He will often work 12-14 hour days. He says he hates vacations. Dimash is the real deal when it comes to showing how hard work and dedication will make you succeed!

This is NOT a cover. This is another version of Ave Maria composed by Maestro Igor Krutoy for Dimash. His version is wordless but so divine and heavenly to listen too. Though wordless, it's so perfectly sang. This moved me to tears. So beautiful.

He has probably been singing these high notes all through childhood. The trick was keeping the ability to keep singing them when his voice changed at puberty. That he managed to keep that ability is the real miracle......
