5. KitHAUS, K5 Extended w/ bathroom and kitchenette: $93,000 - This studio layout is reminiscent of a tiny home - and in the best ways possible. Many people want to simplify their lives, and a studio is a perfect way to do that. The modern design features large sliding glass doors to let in the much-needed natural light you’re craving. Ideal for those looking for tiny homes or a chic, modern home studio. Available across the US, no matter where you are (or where you want to be), the KitHAUS has your back! A little expensive, but still under 100k at the turn-key estimate of $93,000-this could be your new modern home!
4. Stackhouse, CoHo 320: $50,000 - If you can’t get enough of that shipping container look and want something more down-to-earth, the Stackhouse CoHo 320 is the open floor-plan option for you. A little bigger than the last studio, this one-bedroom, one-bathroom living space is around 320 square feet. It’s modern, sleek, and still incorporates natural materials throughout - it’s a whole vibe if that’s what you’re going for. With plenty of natural light, you might not notice the narrow construction - and many people like its simplicity for their living space - definitely don’t knock it until you try it! The large, uncovered porch is perfect for spending time with friends and loved ones. Unfortunately, it’s only available if you’re located in texas, but this affordable container home starts at around $50,000. Not too shabby!
3. Avrame, Trio: $38,000 - $148,000 - When modern meets nature, we can’t get enough. Avrame brings us the Solo series for the creative inside of you-and the Trio pulls out all the stops, with as many as 2-4 bedrooms and 1-2 bathrooms, ranging from 700 to 1600 square feet. It’s got the traditional look of an A-frame home but bumped up a few levels. This is a simple home for those looking for a space to let their roots grow. It uses an equal lateral triangular, custom-fabricated truss system and includes two levels of space. It’s perfect for a young professional, a couple, a small family, or a retiree-no matter your needs, there’s an option. As one of the higher-end options, the Trio is a more expensive option - rounding off around $88,000 on the low end for a fully-finished structure, shell, exterior, and interior-but if you’re a DIY’er at heart, you might be able to finish a larger model off on your own! The solo series is perfect for a budget, though, with other options in the $20,000-$40,000 range. The key word here is options, and Avrame brings everything to the table!
2. AbleNook: $85,000 - This 40ft long house is like nothing else you’ll find on the market - in design and vibes, you’ll be unmatched. It’s designed to be “yacht-like,” like you live in downright opulence over the open sea. The home has 10-foot ceilings, a loft, a skylight, high-end SMEG appliances, LED lighting, insulation, and much more. All of this, and the company claims it costs less than $1,500 for set-up, with contractors ready to build. The best part is it might be perfect for a DIY-er with a plan-their website claims their design requires no tools and can be assembled by two people in as little as two hours. For $85,000, you too can live in this exciting, modern new home-it might be a unique design, but isn’t that what everyone wants? To stand out a little, even on a budget?
1. Kodasema, KODA Loft: $95,000 - With a strong push for adaptability and sustainability in design, KODA designs things with necessity in mind. The contemporary series is created with the minimum in mind - small footprint, small space, and small price. The simple design saves home construction costs, and the KODA delivers on all fronts. If you’re looking for a space with the “classic” modern look you might have seen in design catalogs all these years, this modular, stackable space can be assembled on-site in just one day. Things don’t get easier than that, do they? The finish is sleek, with expansive windows letting in natural light into all the nooks and crannies of the tiny home. There’s a tucked-away staircase right off the kitchen space, and the top floor is perfect for tucking your sleep far away from work downstairs. With the money you’re saving on construction, you can always upgrade with finished glass to keep things from feeling too much like a fishbowl - and enjoy your bright open space in peace!

I'm at the age where I am ready to plan my last home. When I was broke I lived in an 8x45 trailer in Lincoln Beach. Alone with lingcod crab perch for protein my expenses were minimal. This time I deserve one of these. All in less than $175k. And when my son gets it, it will expand. Thank you

Wait until AGI (artificial general intelligence) arrives. Some predict that the price of houses could drop by tenfold, due to robotication and automation on a massive scale. We are talking about homes costing now 500k going down to 5000 dollars.

It's funny, until recently, think the covid era, i really never cared about owning my own place. I've preferred renting a room and just living. With covid I have spent last 3 years in my small space and now in a new position. these tiny home ideas, a glorified shack lets be honest, are appealing. I've been looking at different ideas, making some drawings and wonder if at some point if I should take the leap. With some off grid or in remote locations vs being tied in, ive coe to the conclusion that what ever i do would need a solar option and not so triangular shape. Also the 2 story or partial 2 stoy idea with its reduced foot print is more appealing. these homes shown are interesting, but i wonder what the level of customization is, the cost, and what the know about finding a proper location for such.
