This is top tier Lorcana content. Not blowing smoke up your arse either - not many creators upload videos that make viewers better at the game. I think Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo belongs in this conversation. The utility it brings to a deck is insane. Shift 2, 5 cost cards like The Queen going into Turn 3 with a BBB in hand is juicy.

I love Hidden Cove! It puts in work! Two more emerald cards that really worked, especially for mirror matches are 4 drop Tinker Bell and Floodborn Flynn Rider

Nice content! What about Judy hops, especially for destroying early fishbone (stop ramp) or late dime (1 or 2 turn delay). I tested it out and didn’t made the final list, but if you face a lot of blue it’s an option

I run a single Judy in every Sapphire deck that I build, that also uses Pawpsicle. The reason being is that it's a tech against an item that I have to remove. And if I don't need to worry about items, then it's an extra draw. I can't say that I'd run it if I didn't run Pawpsicle though. I'd look for other options in the second color of the deck.

I wasn’t big on Be King until I was on the receiving end and they did Brawl, Brawl, Be King to stall my board out enough to out advantage me GSD is also good in sapphire steel decks

Medallion Weights has been huge in my Ruby/Sapphire list. The extra strength helps trading up and dealing with locations while also working as alternative card draw

I more so think of tech cards as cards I play to counter a deck. An example of that would be the addition of Peter Pan to deal with diablo. Maybe I’m mistaken in that sense. As far as bku goes I thought it was auto include. The amount of times you can combine it with other removal effect for an effective board wipe is often game winning

@@TheForbiddenMountain played really well in testing with them not being able to target for ice block/medusas/dragons and forcing them to run characters into bodies with cog on board.

I was Maurice's workshops #1 fan to dick friday before chicago lol. Ended up playing it in blue steel for the weekend and its insane against blue red and the mirror. I also think ariel might have a place in a blue steel variant and the idea maybe hasn't been explored enough

Im about thinking addind 2 copies of Aurora in my blue steel... Meta it's so control-removal, it would help to force my opponent to use song against Aurora before my other character, protection against Mme Medusa lol

Aurora is a card we tested with. I think it’s very close to being playable. Just not sure it’s absolutely needed.

The issue with that is, you put multiple guys on board with Aurora to protect them, and they Be Prepared you.

I actually love the new Piglet. The problem though, is that it's a 5 cost uninkable. So you can't just run a playset and ink them as needed. Worse, it doesn't do anything against Bucky until it's far too late to matter. And because Medusa exists, it doesn't play into Ruby all that well. If it cost 4, or cost the 5 and was inkable, then maybe it could see play. For now, I'm looking at trying to work the copy that I've got into a Ruby/Steel Challenger build running Shere Khan. I don't expect it to be able to beat the meta yet, but the pieces are coming together for it to be good in the future. All that said, Piglet just doesn't work to counter Bucky.

@@lawsondavis10 nevermind, I realized as soon as I typed my last response that you were running Amber because Mufasa duh. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣 Anyway, that's all well and good that you can get Piglet out faster, and I do LOVE that idea. But it still doesn't change the fact that in order to get Piglet out by turn 3, you've got to also run Pluto. So it's a turn 1 Pluto, turn 2 Gaston (or Doc), then turn 3 Piglet. That's THREE uninkable cards. If Em/St went first, and they get the god play, then they've already forced at least one discard on you. So maybe you get this line off, but you've also got to have a playset of Piglet and Pluto,to insure seeing them. They're both uninkable. Gaston is as well, but if you aren't running 6+ cost characters, then you can actually swap him out for Doc, who is inkable. I'm not saying that it won't work, and getting Piglet out that early is great. But why bother with Piglet at all when you can just run the 4 cost Namaari from set 2? She can ALWAYS challenge ready characters and she can bodyguard if need be.

The most fun combo with One Last Hope is with a Maui Whale at Thebes / Snuggly Duckling. Every 2 ink you spend is removal and 2/3 lore

Maurice's workshop has always felt like a trap card imo. the uninkable nature, the need to pay an additional ink to get the draw, just makes it rough. It makes me feel like I need to always get the extra card every time and makes me play worse. probably just a mental issue, but it definately has screwed me a bit too much.

I think it has a purpose every now and then. I do think the new Queens loves it. Any world where Queen can stick. The card goes up in value for sure. But it’s certainly the card is close to dud and you spend to much time drawing cards and not enough time just winning the game

I feel like you are focusing too much on Avalanche and not enough on Rise of the Titans. Avalanche was originally tech'd in as an additional out to Bucky while also helping out against the few Queen's Castles and McDuck Manors that were floating around in the first week of UR. Now that the meta has settled a bit more, and getting Tink/GYS by T4 is not uncommon, Ava has been pushed out for RoT.

@TheForbiddenMountain it did great for me in Chicago, lol. I played fang over the cove. Being able to give key pieces ward and evasion was great, plus 2 lore if it was not taken care of.
