Here's a simple recipe for fruit custard:
Ingredients
- 500ml milk
- 1 small bowl soaked sabudana
- 3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)(optional)
- 1 cup mixed fruits (e.g., bananas, apples, grapes, mangoes, berries)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon elaichi powder
- 3-4 Kesar strings
- 1 bowl makhana
- 1 mango puree
Instructions
1. Prepare the Custard:
- In a pan roast the makhana,let it cool and fine coarse powder in a mixer jar.
- Saoked the sabudana in a water for 2 hrs,wash and drain the water.
- Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Milk is reduced to half, then add sabudana,mixed and cooked.
- After 5-7 minutes add makhana powder mixed and cooked in a medium flame.
- After that add elaichi powder and kesar.Mixed and stir continuously.
- Cook on low heat until the mixture thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and add mango puree, Let it cool completely.
2. Prepare the Fruits:
- Wash, peel, and chop the fruits into bite-sized pieces.
3. Combine:
- Once the custard is cool, gently fold in the chopped fruits.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
4. Serve:
- Serve cold and enjoy your delicious fruit custard!
