Hi everyone, unbox with me the new Sailor Shikiori Sound of Rain Inks! Enjoy : )
These new four ink colors are new additions to Sailor's Shikiori inks. Designed as companion inks to the Sound of Rain fountain pens that Sailor released in 2021, these inks are named for the different sounds that rain makes as it falls.The gentle rains of spring are expressed with the light teal color of Shitoshito, meaning ‘silent and still.’ The rushing storms of summer can be found in the sweet blue of Zaza, mirroring the ‘sound of rushing water.’ The colors of Autumn reflect back in the smoky mauve color of Harahara, or ‘drizzle.’ And the cold ‘pitter-patter’ of a brisk winter rain is captured in the icy lilac of Potsupotsu.

When these were first announced, I was only really drawn to Harahara, but seeing them all swatched side by side with the pens really makes me appreciate each color ♡

I like how these inks start very dark and deep, but they get softer & lighter as they dry up

Love these pens, so far only the Harusame graces my pen case. I got a sample of the Sailor Manyo Fuji ink from Yoseka to test with my Harusame, which goes nicely with the caps and has that greenish teal undertone. I’m hoping that you’ll get a bottle in soon, but this matching ink looks very nice also.

I have the winter pen but not so impressed by the ink color. Maybe the autumn one is better pairing with winter pen.

The pens are gorgeous, and the inks are beautiful, but it's false advertising on Sailor's part to imply the colors match. Meant to accompany nicely, yes. Matching, no.
