The mortar looks a lot better if you add the bipod - Best way to do it is to wind some thin wire (florists steel rose wire or fuse wire) twice around the barrel then twist to form the elevating screw. Add a bipod from paper clip wire. Quick and dirty either bend up the bipod from paperclip wire with a bit bent over at the top to glue to the underside of the barrel or use thin (I used 0.75mm plastic coated) florists wire wound once around the barrel with a couple of twists. Very crude but looks better than it sounds. I cut the figure from the weapon and added bases to both as mine are for 'toy soldiers'.

A good review of a nice set of figures, although my favourite DAK set is the Airfix one. Interesting to hear your ratings, they are roughly similar to the ratings given for this set on the plastic soldier review website.
