This is part 2 of my unboxing of a rare world coin collection, formed over the earlier part of the 1900s (but not exceeding 1953), that I was able to transact and help sell for the owners. It features some of the most beautiful world coins I have held in my hands and been a representative of, and I hope it is one step in a trend to hold and help with much higher end collections that individuals hope to maximize the value of. As I stressed in my comments to your previous video, please contact a reputable auction house in Germany or Switzerland to get the best return on those coins. If you have contacts with Heritage I would suggest you start there. In most cases, foreign coins of this caliber will never realize here what they can in Europe. Unless you know differently, the demand for foreign coins is not as high as the country where the coins originated. And I would think that some of the National Money Museums would be extremely grateful if they could acquire some of these coins to add to or upgrade their collections.

You just opened a gold mine, congrats ! If you want to get best results for these Crowns and Thalers, send them to a premium German auction house like Kuenker which also has a branch in the U.S. 15:10 That scene means that St. Christophorus is carrying young Jesus across the water. Send them for restoration and grading to NGC. They are better at grading foreign coins. 🤞🤞

The marking Tusgany Cosino II Scudo 1621 is real Pisa Cosino II Tallero 1621 XF $750. higher grades no listed. Going by the book.

This box of coins is worth Thousand's of dollars. 1691 Banberg Sir Heinrich and Kunigunds XF $1500. UN $2500. Wurttemberg 1610 Thaler Under Johann Friedrich I, Obv. St. Christopher and Chist child. KM# 28 VG $1450. F $2400. VF $5900. XF $9000. To let you know my books are old 5th Edition 2012.

Him holding them by the edge is fine. Gloves are ok, but can also cause you to drop the coin...

Although the toning on some coins looks a bit strange, most of those coins are so extremely rare and hardly impossible to find. Some of the Swiss cantons coins you started with have a mintage of less than 2000..Please don't talk about cleaning...you will destroy history and value of those coins...Anyway a more than fascinating find...making real collectors feel a bit jealous :)

What I find ludicrous is that the first coin dealer only paid $800 for a similar box. I hope the seller approaches that coin dealer after you dispose of this box and gives them a piece of their mind. Although I see several coins with values of less than $100, I found even more coins with individual values of $500, $1,000, $2,500 and even more! It appears the other coin dealer might have paid only the melt value of the silver, not the numismatic and historical value of each coin. I hope the seller consigns the third box for you to dispose of. You will do them right by you.

We will never know the true value of the first lot. I was taking the seller's word that the quality of the first lot was similar.
