Installation of a Speedmaster XL 106 in a special packaging configuration at our customer Cartographic in Mexico. 8 printing units, 1 coating unit, 1 printing unit, 1 coating unit. With LED UV and UV technology for peak performance in packaging printing.

LED Drystar Technology is one of the best innovations of recent years. The market launch was 2013 in Japan in Tokyo. The benefit is to get a dry sheet out in the delivery. The color space on uncoated stock is sensationel, to increase the density of ink is possible, no drying issues, no powder necessary. Delivery time is shorter of the print products. This is the right technology for perfecting machines with short jobs, uncoated or matt paper, combined with Inpress Control measurement, unbeatable. The combination with standard UV dryers offer the customer the complete world of UV application in packaging. I worked on these machines many years and I'm still very excited about it. Thanks to Heidelberg.

Wow, I wish I could buy a machine like this....even a 4 color 74 with this technology, is my dream. I own a 4 color MOVP, but the problems SA is facing, I probably would never be able to reach a dream like this. If I owned the latest press from Heidelberg, I would probably just admire it tye whole day...Still do with my MOVP. Heidelberg is the best.

Going from Roland Favorit to Heidelberg CD74 5+coating in 2006 (now however HB XL75 (combi) since 2010) was like changing from Fiat Polski to Rolls Royce. Such supremacy!!

Is it 8 color for printing perfecting 2 sides or does packaging need it to be 8 color?
