Other than the decals and paint schemes -and there's not much variation there when it comes to Allied armour, just look up the reviews for the same vehicles of Academy kits. Airfix 1/35 are repops of Academy kits. Not familiar with these particular units, but Academy kits vary with some being quite good for the money. e.g. M3 Stuart "Honey", Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer (Late & Early). They're not Dragon nor Tamiya new tool standards, nor their price, but decent for the money.

@@theblytonian3906 I have picked up a couple of Academy kits, T-34 85 and a calliope Sherman and found that they come with tons of extra parts that I was able to improve other kits mostly Tamiya versions of the T34 and Sherman with small details like grab irons or the little cage Sherman’s have on hatches over viewports that many Tamiya kits don’t come with. All the best!

@@ecidahoCopy that. Nice! Academy's T-34/85s have issues as you'd be aware, notably the overly-exaggerated rough casting even for Soviet WWII era armour. Airfix's is based upon the initial (2015) "112 Factory" release although Academy have since also kitted a "183 Factory" variant along with a Beutepanzer. Same moulds, alternative parts. I have a couple of Academy's 1/35 armour kits as well, notably their (38t) Hetzers, both early and late kits which were remarkably good and superb value kits at the time of initial release (2012 & 2013). But I tend to shy away from Academy generally, particularly these days. With their price increases, they're not much less expensive than alternative newer tooled offerings which are generally superior for the subjects which interest me. At lower than Dragon and Tamiya new tool price points, I prefer Zvezda's new tool releases. e.g. Zvezda's (2018) new tool T34/85 (183 Factory) which is both cheaper and better. They have also released a couple of superb new tool Shermans, an M4A2 and M4A3 (76) respectively in 2020 & 2021. Not being a US/Brit armour aficionado, I can't compare either directly other with the Airfix/Academy kits by personal experience, as the only Sherman I have is Dragon's Tarawa M4A2 (6062) tooled in 006. Cheers!

I think the M36 was based on a Shernan chassis but had a 90mm gun or a 17lb Firefly gun. I think the Priest as known as Sexton in UK service with a 25lb gun maybe different named names between allies.

4 awesome kits, enjoy the build.

M7 priest was a self propelled tank base on the Sherman chassis, the M4 is a wet meaning the ammo was stored in wet bath.

That's the problem with allied armour, colour schemes choice of various shades of dark green - ! With German armour, lots of variation with little 'official' rule - !

Most of Airfix's 1/35 Armour kits are re-boxings of Academy kits. So they should be all fairly decent kits. I believe these mystery boxes all contain the same kits. So any buyers of the Armour one, should get these 4 kits. The M36A1 tank destroyer was called The Jackson. It was basically a Sherman Chassis with a Hellcat Tank Destroyer Turret.

I was excited to get a £75 airfix mystery box for Christmas to reintroduce me to my old amateur modelling passion now rekindled, & even more surprised when I was given another £75 box from someone else. I just wished they mystery boxes could be jumbled up instead of all the same tanks in every box.

Too quiet and mumbling. Need to speak clearly and loudly enough so we don;t get blasted out by any adverts.
