I lucked into an Arius on a drop in March and I had never seen one in person and my reaction was the same as yours. The precision is unmatched and if you have not felt the action, you honestly cannot imagine how smooth it is. As near to perfection as I could imagine. Congrats on the new addition.

I got to experience my first Arius this year as well. Gen 4 where they rounded the flipper tab off and added jumping to it. It’s my favorite knife in my collection, truly amazing!

sick! Arius so good! That's actually a gen 2 Arius btw. You can tell from the hook like flipper tab. Gen 3 & 4 have an even better flipper tab

If you look inside the knife through the hole in the pocket clip with the blade open, it should say the Gen and the batch.

Congratulations, I managed to pick up a flipper delete one few months ago and was blown away with the action. In the first hour of unboxing it I dropped it on the concrete floor, and I still look for damage every time I pick it up. Luckily I still haven't found any blemishes.

I have a Gen 2 with carbon fiber front scale and blue ano on the hardware. Also has a crazy milling pattern on the lock side that’s pretty unique. I love it, been lusting after a gen 4 but they’re all sold before they drop it seems 😂

I am so glad that you got to experience this knife. Sadly I have never been drawn to this knife. I respect the maker and his abilities however the design just does not speak to me. I would either have a Chris Reeve or I would have a Spyderco versus this.

@TristateEDC I got it yesterday and it was dull. Full size gen 4 batch 12, Birthdate 10/16/23 and wouldn't cut paper. So I had to sharpen a brandnew $800 knife. If your and mine were dull I'm sure many more are also dull.

I have a chance to buy a gen 4 and want to see if it's a good deal. He's asking $900. Is there a ghost using the computer behind you?

I got one for $800 that is probably verging on a perfect user if it pans out. It has been “used” so no safe queen excuses but it looks almost perfect in pictures and has Ano hardware, textured handles and has the factory edge.
