is the motor behind the blade or in the base?

In the base. I use this alot still its a great desk fan.

I have no clue but the fan works great, doesn't take up space and is quiet. Lol hope this helps.

what are you guys talking about the motor is in the middle of the blade. as with any of these fan type. The engineering/material cost and complexity of manufacturing to have the motor in the base and provide torque force all the way up from the base to the blades and have it capable of being tilt and occilating is immense . the most simple and cheap design is to have motor on the middle of the blades.
