I really LOVE the Philips Hue Ecosystem. In this video I unbox and set up my latest addition, the Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus White & Colour LED Kit (UK - amzn.to/2MzMKUJ / USA - amzn.to/2L9Ejz0)
Because more people want Bluetooth based control over their lights, I went through the setup procedure twice. Once with the Bluetooth App and again with the standard Hue App.

I had to return mine because they would not pair with the with my phone but then then sent me new ones and they worked with the app!!

Thanks for this video ! Can i ask what lenghts can you get by cutting ? As you said you can cut every ~30 cm, but 200cm ( 2m ) is not divisible by 30 ( cm ) I have a desk 160cm wide and I am wondering how close to 160 cm i can cut. Thank you for reply !

@@kiphakes Interesting. So I cannot adjust the strip to the requested size as I can only cut it every 25-30cm? I need specific lengths in my house, any idea how to work around it with these Hue strips?

@@tomasbacik9083 there’s no real way around it. If you don’t cut it in the correct places then it will stop a load of the leds from working

How was the adhesive glue on this model? Any better or do you recommend extra tape?

If it was going into some sort of diffused channel, the tape would be fine. If it’s exposed I’d go for something stronger

If you cut the light strip somewhere, can you use them in two separate places? Would you just need to buy another command box? If not, is there any use for leftover strip that's been cut?

You can rejoin it... But the cut pieces are pretty much useless

Really want to get some and build a system of lights. It’s getting cheaper but still a bit of a premium cost.

It is... But I don't think LEDs are something that you should cheap out on. Cheap LEDs are prone to failure

i just got it and they have updated the bluetooth app so you have "routines" that work without the Philips Bridge. 😍 its just awesome
